Had a very pleasant lunch with a friend. We both had the Lancashire pie and side salad and followed with lovely cakes and pots of tea. The staff are lovely and service is great. Will definately be going back soon.
We happened upon this tearoom on Monday when my toddler and I were walking into town. We needed sandwiches and it looked lovely from outside so we popped in and the staff were so friendly. "Are you quite new?" I asked, "yes, we opened today!" We had sandwiches made from Lovely fresh bread and took cakes home for big brother and daddy. Big brother was a little jealous, and declared the Bakewell Slice "the best cake he'd ever eaten" but, to be fair, he didn't try their Coffee Renoir, which really was the best cake is eaten in a VERY long time. If you want excellent food, friendly staff, eat in or takeaway options, and to support grew small businesses in Bolton then there's nowhere better!
Amazing food let down by some poor service.
We had lunch including quiche and a savory tart but these were microwaved to warm them before serving which spoilt the pastry texture completely. We were asked which bread we wanted for a sandwich but were only given alternatives to choose from after looking blank. We were asked if we wanted regular coffee but again not given an alternative. Service did improve however after that.
That aside the salad was fresh and enhanced the savories well and everything tasted amazing.
We will certainly be back soon.
We had an excellent veggie quiche & very fresh salmon/prawn sandwich for lunch today. The coffee's were the tastiest we've ever had. Brilliant value.
Last night I had a banoffee pie style pastry. Absolutely incredible. Will definitely be urging my friends to eat or takeaway from this most wonderful tea shop. Oh! I will definitely be going back.

popped in here yesterday afternoon just to have a mooch and buy some bread and a cake.Very impressed by the friendliness of guy behind counter and his info and enthusiasm of products.sorry do not know your name! the cake i bought as a gift was banoffee tart that came with a box to take out and a loaf of bread.tart was simply wonderful and huge as filling was plenty and very pretty! £3.75 i think was fine for quality we received! treat for us so not every day but very much worth the money! enjoyed the bread too and will be croutons afterwards! looking forward to trying more and keep up the lovely patient friendly service as that will keep me coming back to try more! thankyou guys! gail .bolton needs your place! My wife really rates this place so we went along for lunch. Had the pie, it was delicious and full of meat (not padded out like some places), only downside was that it was so big I couldn't fit one of their cakes in. It has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are really friendly.
Visited today with my daughter for drinks and cake excellent chocolate flake and tropical fruit cake both rated best ever decor just right looking forward to trying lunch. This is just what this town needs please call in you will be pleasantly surprised
Bolton has been needing something like this. Place of indulgence for proper hand made dessert creations. The staff are so lovely and make this place what it is. Recommend 1000%
Lovely afternoon tea with friends, friendly staff ,good value all homemade bread and lovely cakes, too much to eat for me i did get to take home what i left, will be going back 😀
