A proper pub with no gimmicks. Just good ale, comfy seats and no thumping music or tv. Regulars come and read their papers and have a natter. No one bothers anyone. Love the Rennie Macintosh decor and the staff are friendly.

I went for lunch at The Lion of Vienna during the afternoon of 30th August 2017. The staff was very friendly, and gave a prompt service. There was a good variety on the menu, including a good selection for vegetarians, I had the mushroom, cranberry & Brie wellington and got to say it was very tasty indeed. It had a family friendly atmosphere, and made to feel welcomed. We had a lovely lunch, and definitely would go back.

Sam Smiths pub, so you'll either love or hate the beer. Everything from the mixers to the beer and wiñ seems to be Sam Smiths. I enjoy it, but I have close friends who feel it's a taste they've yet to acquire. Get there before 6.00 in the evening and take advantage of the small but tasty menu. A favourite of mine is the liver and onions, nearly as good as what my mum used to make when we were kids. Nice outdoor seating area and a lot of local characters! 😁

Nice pub, clean beer and a good choice. The lounge has a Macintosh theme and comfortable. This establishment could do better with some minor adjustments, but I will visit on a regular bases.

Very friendly staff. Nice cheap beer and comfortable seating. Only thing I'd say is don't look down at the floor! It's in a bit of a state but it doesn't take anything away

Our local, blummin good pub and cask bitter is best around Pat loves the organic larger. £4.90 for both pints, who could ask for better. Come on down you wont be dissappointed.7 Phil the landlord is a gem.
