Lovely place for a walk with or without a dog. Google maps advised it was closed today (Tuesday). It wasn't. Only the cafe is closed Monday and Tuesday for a couple of weeks. A couple of points. A quiet beautiful place for a walk with picturesque views. There are plenty of places to stop for a break and there is a coffee shop as you start the walk. A great place for all the family and dogs with plenty of poo bins. It is definitely worth a visit

Beautiful country park for a walk. Offers great views, free parking and a really lovely cafe. You can leisurely stroll around the reservoir in an hour or so or extend the walk to see more of the wonderful surroundings. Can't beat the picturesque combination of lake and forest!
When you arrive there is a good car park although not huge so I can imagine it gets filled really quick in summer. The little cafe as you start your walk is lovely, nice to get either a hot chocolate for the start of your walk or an ice cream in summer. Follow the paths and this will take you around

Excellent country park to take the kids, walks thru woodlands and villages,we were lucky to see a deer, plenty to see, places for picnic,cafe toilets and parking. mini waterfalls and wier. Moderate walk 6 miles in 5 hours
