Riverside Grill

Came here for something quick to eat in Bolton. Luckily during these pandemic times they had stuck a menu on the window for potential visitors to glance over before going inside. I noticed a man sitting on one of the chairs and aimlessly starring outside the front door - I presume it was the Owner who doubles as the cook. Anyways, we both chose the Halibut & Chips. The restaurant is quite small, but it had a good atmosphere - although none of the staff conversed with us. We were watching the news and waiting for our food which you can see being cooked through the glass. When it was ready, he handed it to us in a brown paper bag and we went on our way. My partner isn't fully vaccinated yet so we were not able to dine inside. When we went back to the car, we realized they did not pack us a fork and a knife to eat out Halibut and fries. OH WELL, we decided to use our hands. The fries were fine, and I enjoyed them. We both concluded that the Halibut was saltier than expected (presumably because the batter used was really salty). I finished my apple juice in order to wash down the saltiness. Other than the salty Halibut - I would try other foods from here as the prices were very reasonable and affordable.

Lovely owners, fantastic food! Beautiful renos!! This place is freshly upgraded and now renovated on the outside...and what a difference! The fries and onion rings are amazing, they even made me a salad with grilled chicken which is not on the menu. Best fish I've ever tasted. Definitely a must try when I'm Bolton
