Overall, a good meal. Staff are brilliant and the restaurant itself is lovely to sit in. As a local who has been visiting since the restaurant opened, I would say a new, fresh menu would be amazing!
We have travelled to a lot of places and had our fair share of good food but this restaurant is truly "First Class"! So travelers to Edinburgh Scotland, visit the small town of Bonnyrigg and go for a meal to this restaurant, I guarantee you, you'll not regret it.
Beetroot is a wee gem you might not expect to find given its location.
The atmosphere and decor are great - the only thing I can criticise are the booths. The benches are incredibly close to the tables so there's not enough room to reeeaaaally comfy.

This bar/grill promotes safety for women, especially women who want a bite to eat or a drink on their own. Very welcoming, the christmas lunch was excellent and brilliant value for money. It's also on a bus route from Edinburgh lothian region bus number 49 or 31.
4 of us went in for dinner and a catch up, had a fab time. The waiter (didn't catch his name) was brilliant with us, made our night. The food was brilliant, reasonably priced. We will definitely be back.
