Great pub that has an alpine bar feel to it, worth booking in advance as it is quite small and fills up quickly. The size and intimacy makes for a great experience. Lovely vibe, very easy to chat to others or keep to yourself, however your mood takes you.
Wonderful quirky little pub, great decor, lovely friendly staff, good choice of real ale and the steak and blue cheese pie was the nicest pie I've ever eaten, words can't express how delicious it was, I've tried many a so called good pie but this won hands down. Also dog friendly.
Me and my partner had the pleasure of Sunday lunch here. The pub has a great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff serving fabulous food, guest beers and ciders. The Sunday roast, wow… it was absolutely delicious, so much so we are going back ASAP! Well done to everyone at Barley Mow for putting the P i

We stayed locally for a weekend get away and this was our local. What a perfect pub. The landlady is amazing, she went to every effort to make us feel welcome, and she was the same with everyone. Food was also perfect, proper decent pub grub cooked to a high standard. Highly recommended.
My wife and I popped in for dinner while we were staying at the cascades. Lovely pub in a lovely little village with very friendly staff. Amazing beer and delicious food! Can highly recommend!!
Excellent all round! My 2 year old was mid meltdown and the very lovely chef came out of the kitchen to give her an ice lolly to calm her down. The Sunday roast was superb, kids loved the Halloween decor and top class service. Couldn’t recommend more
A lovely little pub with a great atmosphere the food is amazing and the hosts really friendly! We were visiting the area and this was the best find during our trip, definitely reccomend it,
Fabulous little pub! So glad our search found this place. Had possibly the best home made lasagne I've ever had. Collette was just gorgeous, so welcoming and helpful. Loved it, will be back. Xx
Quirky pub full of quirky things. Landlady took time out to talk to me which a lot don't (lone travelling female). Menu was great - had the lasagne - portions very, very generous. Lovely atmosphere & friendly people. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely be coming again 😊
