What a fantastic hotel. Very large and comfortable rooms. great views of the river, lovely to hear the ducks quacking. Breakfast is absolutely fantastic and totally faultless. The food served in the restaurant is to die for top class we had a perfect meal. The staff are fabulous with nothing being too much trouble. Great hotel and value for money, will definitely visit again.

The food was superb. There were 2 adults and a 3 year old. We sat in the garden with the river and nature in the horizon. The staff were friendly and helpful. A reasonable priced meal for what we had.

I went on a Wednesday and got there half an hour before they had the evening meal and still let me have it. Seated by the window with the view of the river and the food was amazing. I would definitely go there again if I ever go in that direction in the future

The setting is just beautiful, we sat outside and were serenaded by a rather vocal Mallard!. Food arrived quickly, was a decent portion size, reasonably priced, attractively presented and delicious. My Husband always has the dressed crab salad, which he devoured with gusto! . We always eat in the Riverside when we go to Boscastle.

We stayed on the 7th July for 3 nights..with a harbour view room..Every thing about the Riverside is exceptional..friendly staff who make you so welcome..the room itself was outstanding..beds made every day..clean towels ect..didn't want to come home..and the food is to die for..this is our second stay and we will definitely be coming back..it's more like a hotel than a b&b..

Quite simply the best food and service you can get in Boscastle. Wonderful location, excellent food for adults and catered wonderfully for a very fussy eater of a child. Highly recommend this restaurant for an evening meal if you are visiting or staying in Boscastle, gorgeous food with superb service from the staff. 10/10

Family dinner. Lovely view of the bridge and river. Welcoming service. Most tables are the riverside naturally, at first we thought it looked quite empty from the street side. Food was very good: fish trio, crab salad, smoked salmon and prawn curry. Desserts were great too. Would recommend. If new to Boscastle, lovely town to visit.

Totally satisfied. Having found The Riverside by Googling, I made my reservation by phone and talked to someone on-site. I booked B&B but, on arrival, I then decided to also have dinner. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and efficient. Both meals were excellent, and my room was clean and well equipped. I'm very happy with the price I paid.

We have been visiting The Riverside for well over 10 years! We look forward to the beautiful location, the friendly staff, the delicious food and some welcome family time. We can highly recommend the carvery and the breakfasts in particular! It suits all of us from our 6yr old son right up to his 74yr old Grampy! We've enjoyed the restaurant and the outdoor eating space. So whatever the weather, it's the perfect place to make a Boscastle memory! We can't wait for our next visit!

We really enjoyed both our evening meals here last week. I loved the menu and after much deliberation chose the brie and mango parcels follow by the Cornish trio of fish. My dessert was a cheesecake. This was my first evening's selection. The following meal there I had a delicious broccoli and Stilton soup followed by Sirloin steak with poivre sauce and the best chips ever! The service was efficient and friendly and we will definitely be back.

Stopped by for lunch on a busy sunny day. We found a table on the terrace and ordered food with their self service ordering screen Within minutes the food arrived and it was delicious. Very dog friendly too. A great find.

Perfectly situated, easy to reach from the public parking site. Staff was exceptionally lovely, we felt more than welcome. Our room was nice with a beautiful view and we slept well, while the river next to the hotel was a relaxing background noise. Dinner was very good, breakfast was a typical English one with toast and egg variations.

A beautiful place which I would recommend to anyone. A good selection of food decently priced and friendly staff who were very helpful. I was travelling solo and had car trouble whilst staying with them and they gave me numbers for reliable mechanics as well as recommending taxi services whilst my car was in the garage. I also have food intolerances and they were able to adapt my breakfast to accommodate them. ( I am a gluten and soya free vegan) The room was comfortable and clean with a lovely view of the river which was a very relaxing sound to fall asleep to each night.

As soon as you walk in you see this is a fine establishment and if you are staying you will be greeted by a member of staff and they will point you in the right direction, now the rooms are upstairs and as you will see in the video it's a bit of a trek which is fine if you are sober and is a bit confusing if you are drunk! The room was a bit basic and the shower was a bit small and if you are a chunky monkey like me your bum keeps on banging the cold glass! You are by the side of a little stream and it can be a little bit noisy at night but it just sounds like a fan going on constantly! As well as the ducks! The food was nice but pricey but they have the market there as there's no kebab shops in the village but there is a chippy opposite the place! The breakfast was really nice but you have to order it by 9pm the night before! Staff were friendly and polite, also use the long stay car park just round the corner and join the rest of the other people at 9am who are renewing their car park ticket for the day!

We only used the restaurant, to have a meal on our last night here in Boscastle. So glad we did as it will leave us with such good memories of our time spent here in the beautiful harbour. Amazing food, great atmosphere, and lovely staff, who were very helpful, polite, and happy. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Having stayed in multiple locations and accommodations as a female solo traveller, The Riverside is unequivocally my favourite so far. Friendly, welcoming, and amazing breakfasts. My room overlooked the river, which was soothing to fall asleep listening to. I would highly recommend a stay at The Riverside.

Popped on the off chance.early evening on a midweek evening. The staff were very welcoming and the service was great. The meals, both starters and mains were ample and vert well presented. Internally is very nice, the rear garden seating is reached via a bridge over the small river. We would definitely recommend this place

Very friendly staff. A little disappointed that despite their confirming when we booked if all 3 vegan options would be available, on the night (only 7.30pm so not late) the vegan curry was not available. Otherwise, lovely location, and although you can't eat outside in the evening, we did take our drinks outside after dinner

Rather spur of the moment coming to Boscastle, the Cobweb Pub had a singer and was so loud it t was one to avoid, ruining the whole area. Managed to squeeze in here but strongly suggest you book, staff shortages appear to have impacted all restaurants. The service though was excellent certainly they were in the hall, they would take extra bookings because of the staffing shortage which is sensible, unlike other places. Well done, the Lemon Sole and Steak was devine.

Beautiful setting, lovely local food. Cheese on the ploughmans was very tasty. Apparently so was the carrot and parsnip soup.
