Low lit spot with decent food and drink selection. For dinner we tried the fish and chips and a wrap, both good. Due to delay we received bowl of clam chowder, and regrettably we should have ordered it from the beginning! Hearty and full of flavor.

Love this place! Right across from the State House, it’s a great location to meet with activists after lobbying the do-nothing senators & reps in our state government. ✊🏾😎

The 21st is a staple in terms of a Beacon Hill sense of community. I have been coming here for the past 8 years and I have been treated like family. I cannot say enough about the service, the comfortability aspect and just that real "I'm at home feeling". 10/10 recommended and needless to say the food is unbelievable!!

Great old style pub with service and vibe to match. Grilled chicken sandwich with smashed potatoes were excellent. The chowder was full of flavor, though light on the clams and potatoes. I'd definitely revisit this location next time I'm in Boston.

Might be the best onion rings I've ever had. Nice crisp breading and perfectly salted. Most places will have too soft and doughy breading. Nachos met the assignment too, and were a very generous portion given it's under the "small plates" section of the menu. Looked to be understaffed through as the one server was frantically running around between inside and outside tables on the busy night. She did a great job though.

Close to walking tour stop, the State Capitol, and the park. Excellent options and nice drink selection on draft. Very cool atmosphere inside.

It was not busy when I went (late afternoon). I was able to choose my own seat and chose the dining area up the steps. Great ambiance- dark woods, copper hood over the fireplace. Ordered drinks, onion rings (crisp and well-seasoned), and buffalo tenders (an app but more than enough for a meal). The sauce had some heat but not too bad. The chicken was moist, lightly breaded, and meaty. Great service. There was a full service bar and outdoor seating too. Would go there again.
