Al Capone's is my go-to lunch spot for Italian! They have the best Chicken Parm sub in downtown Boston, and I've nearly tried them all. The owner is extremely friendly and always remembers the regulars. The best part of all is you can add chips, a drink and a cookie for nearly a dollar more - truly can't beat this downtown!

Delicious food at a good price. The staff here and especially the owner are great down to earth people who actually care about their customers and not just in doing what's right but also in make sure each and every experience is a great one. Worth a trip if you're visiting Boston and a must stop for lunch if you're local. Highly recommend!

I love this place. Tasty and unpretentious. The 20" subs are two meals in one. Eat half for lunch and half for dinner. Best to take your food outside when the weather is nice.

One of if not the best steak and cheese subs in the downtown area. They also have a sausage burger which I get often enough. It's a sweet Italian sausage patty cooked on the flat top and put in a burger bun. Both items have combos that come with chips, a can of soda, and a cookie for a very good price. The primary seating area is upstairs but I definitely don't recommend it especially in the summer. The airflow is almost nonexistent up there so all the steam and heat from the flat top makes its way up there and it can get nauseatingly hot. There's a few areas such as 125 Summer St or Dewey Square you can use for outdoor seating.

We had breakfast there on our last morning in Boston. Wish we had found it earlier in our stay! The food is delicious and very plentiful. The woman at the register was so very friendly. Made us feel welcome. Don’t miss this little gem on your stay.

Good subs hot or cold on home made sub roll. Super efficiency during lunch rush. Good combo specials. Place has not really changed in 20 years.

Our organization planned an event and placed an order for 75 pizzas. The day before the event we learned our number of attendees grew significantly. We contacted Al Capone for another 27 boxes of pizza and they were very quick to respond to our request. Not only did they show up on time which is always a huge deal for us, they came a few minutes earlier, helped us set up the pizzas on the tables in both floors, provided enough plastic plates and cutlery and two very nice large trays of condiments (bonus points for that one)! They were so easy to work with and the pizza was yummy! Will be contacting them again for future events! Thank you Al Capone! Not a slice of pizza left!

Love this place for lunch. The best in Boston. Or at least around Summer St. Excellent specials. Subs and slices are really good and plentiful. Very hard working staff. Obviously gets super busy from about 11-2.. So many good things to choose from.
