Great food in a great spot. Larry can be a little grumpy. My new favorite spot in the area.

Ordered the catfish, fried chicken, and the burnt ends. Perfectly delicious. Will absolutely come again. Larry’s a real one.

Larry makes the visit entertaining! Great food and great location. Brisket and smoked/fried wings are out of this world!

The burger I ordered was cooked to perfection. It was delicious. It was a beautiful day to sit at the tables and enjoy my lunch break. 10/10

Ordered a combo plate with pulled chicken and paid extra for burnt ends which were fantastic. As a side tried the Texas caviar, a Tex-Mex bean salad consisting of black-eyed peas lightly pickled in a vinaigrette-style dressing. It was delicious, too.

Went here for lunch. I have never had a good experience with bbq (having only tried places in the northeast) so i had guarded expectations, so i was so happy and surprised when the food was great!
I got the bbq spaghetti, texas caviar (a cold black eyed pea and pepper mix), and burnt ends. There were 2 slightly different kinds of bbq sauce that came with it. Or maybe it was just two things of the same sauce? anyways, the burnt ends were great, there were some beautifully fatty pieces and some quite lean and crisped up pieces. The flavour for both types of burnt ends were great though i preferred the fattier ones.
BBQ spaghetti was a huge surprise and highlight for me, a sweet and spiced sauce coated the spaghetti and there were some crisped up parts of the spaghetti to serve as textural contrast.
Personally I didn't like the texas caviar much. it was slightly vinegary and the black eyed peas were a great texture, but I just didn't find it too exciting. Nothing was wrong with it in particular.
My friend got the fried catfish with mac n cheese and slaw, all of which tasted great to me as well. The catfish was coated in a vinegary sauce.
The lady who served us was really nice as well.
If I have the chance, I will definitely return to try their other offerings.

Man. Those burnt ends with the Texas sauce was the BEST I've had in Boston - hands down! Tasty collards, but the Mac and cheese missed the mark for me. Good people and easy ordering experience. All in all, I'd come back any day of the week.

My wife and I shared a medium rib plate with Mac and Cheese and Sweet Potato fries. Very good meal at a very good price. I don’t usually do reviews though this place was definitely work a 5 star review.
