If you're accessing the restaurant from the car park above, don't be put off by how the building looks from behind - it's not great - as once beachside, it's lovely. Good food at an obviously good location. Southbourne beach is by far the best beach in Bournemouth(he says as the local😆😉). Food and drink is always good, with generous portions and not over priced, even though you are sat right on the beach.

My wife and I really felt like fish and chips on the beach and the Bistro on the Beach exceeded our expectations in every way.
Excellent service, big, perfectly cooked and crispy fish, chunky and crispy fries, cracked salt, tartare and mushy peas. Excellent coffee and a stunning location.
Pretty decent cafe, the fish was really good and portion size is generous. The chicken strips I believe they are frozen but it still tasted decent. The location is great right by the seafront, staff are super friendly. Prices are what you expect to pay at the seafront.

Lovely warm break from a delightful winter walk on the beach from Southbourne. Mocca is very often average - bit not here! Blown away with how good this was! Delicious & fairly priced veggie panini & very softly spoken & friendly, approachable staff, who were attentive but not intrusive.
Fantastic bistro with a lovely menu, offering food made with good local ingredients. There's something for most tastes and coupled with the great beachside view makes this easily the best place to eat anywhere along the prom.
