Casa Gourmex Mexican Restaurant

Without doubt, a brilliant local eatery serving up fantastic tasting Mexican food. Can only comment on the Tacos (we had chicken, beef, pork between us) - absolutely no complaints from the family! The pork and beef won for sure 😋. A bit like walking into chef's kitchen...very homely, nice conversation whilst waiting and great explanations of each dish to help our decisions. Blink and you've missed it. Tiny place. Have passed it too many times and always thought the same - must try it out soon. Embarrassed to say Francisco has been there for 7 years...and today was our first visit. Definitely visiting again soon 🙌🏻. Oh, gluten free too 👍🏻!! Gracias Francisco!

I found this place on google maps while I was on holiday in Bournemouth. I saw this place has 5 stars even though it has over 100+ reviews. So I thought it must be good. We went here for late breakfast before we go to the beach. Ordered tacos with pork and enchiladas with chicken. You could pick meat for tacos and spiciness for both dishes. The place was smaller than I thought but it is really nice little hidden gem in Bournemouth! He suggested home made drink so we got a hibiscus and tamarind tea. It was cute because he took these drinks out from the fridge which just looked like you can find someone's own kitchen🤣 The vibe of this place is like you are invited to friendly Mexican friend's house. We sat outside and he brought food to us. OMG... definitely the BEST TACO I've ever had! It was simple taco with some veggies and meat but wow... Meat were so juicy and tender with full of flavor! After I had one bite, I was like this is amazing!!! And I said to my boyfriend as I joke that I wanted to take him to our town and make him open the shop so I can go every day🤣🤣 But yeah, tacos were super good, and so was enchiladas. Nice cheesy flavor with yummy chicken! That day, I talked about tacos all day and I eventually wenr back there the next day before I go to the station to try some other menus🤣🤣 He recommended us Cuban sandwiches, which apparently is one of the most popular menus. We brought them all the way to London and had as a dinner. Even if it was few hours after we got, they were very very tasty with nice tender slow cooked pork with ham and cheese. We really enjoyed it and now while I am writing this, I wish I could have tacos from there right now🥲🥲🤣 I will 200 percent go back there when I go back to Bournemouth and I will go over and over again whenever I go to Bournemouth. Every one should try his food! He is an amazing cook and also very friendly and nice☺️☺️ thank you so so so much for amazing food!

Visited for the first time today and had the nicest afternoon! Best tacos I’ve ever had and such good conversations! It was a rainy day in Bournemouth but Casa GourMex made me feel like I was on holiday for the afternoon which is always a plus!! Will definitely be recommending to everyone I know!! Thanks so much! :)

I've eaten here on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. The chef/owner is friendly and extremely passionate about serving the best authentic Mexican food. The Taco's are brilliant but my personal favorite is the Cuban sandwich washed down with an authentic Mexican soft drink. Five stars all the way.

Fantastic experience at GourMex. Cannot emphasize enough how delicious the food is and the guy is lovely. Try some of the drinks, too! We had the rice water (i.e. horchata), rice water with berries (daily special), fresh orange juice and another special. Note: this isn't TexMex, it's delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine.
