For location this is worthy of five stars, but for parking it has to lose a point, as the parking is also for anyone who wants to use the beach.
A brewers fayre, so the menu is a safe bet if somewhat predictable. But the ambience makes up for this. It is tasteful, and well spaced with beach and sea views. The lighting is good.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and the ladies is always clean.
In summer is is packed with families, but you can get the quiet times, just forget being able to park! But as it's at the bottom of a steep chine, that's not so easy!
Best to come in Autumn and Winter.
This is a great place right down by the beach at Durley Chine and so it can get busy in the summer. It is a traditional Harvester restaurant with the salad cart and a good reasonably priced menu catering for all the family. Make sure you keep some room for the dessert - they are huge! it can get really busy in the summer so worth getting there when it opens for lunch to make sure you get a seat - especially if you wish to sit outside and watch the wiorld go by.
Lovely place, great Sea view, delicious food. We were in Bournemouth for a 4 day holiday, we had dinner here the first night. Dinner me and my mum had the 1983 Harvester Combo, which we enjoyed, the Chips with Onion and Sage seasoning are delicious 😋 really enjoyed them, my Dad had the Smoked BBQ Pork Belly, he really enjoyed it too. We were served by a lovely brunette lady, didn't know her name but her customer service was great, nice and smiley.
The next morning came here for Breakfast, I had the Breakfast muffin with Sausage, Egg and Cheese and 2 Hashbrowns and it was delicious, really enjoyed it. Mum and Dad had Big Breakfast.
And on our last morning we came for Breakfast again since we enjoyed it so much. I had the same again, only this time I had the seasoned chips with it because I enjoyed them so much when we came for Dinner before. 😋 Lovely Breakfast meal, and great customer service by Kim both mornings 😁
Popped in today while visiting the area. Friendly staff, polite & attentive. Reasonably priced drinks/Beers & a selection of small bites was just the job sat in the autumn sunshine overlooking the beach.
My experience was lovely! I took my girlfriend there for our 1 Year anniversary, and it was wonderful! The food was lovely, the scenery was exquisite and the service was outstanding! Shout out to Dale, as he set a wonderful atmosphere and even cracked a few jokes 😂
we went for lunch and had the lunch deal. this costs either 13£ or 15£ depending on if how many courses you take (2 or 3). this is very good deal and you get unlimited salad from the salad bar. we went to eat as a large group with small kids and everyone was extremely happy with their meals. I asked everyone and they all gave their food 5 stars. the waitress was extremely nice and made sure all the food we received was right. when sitting inside in the restaurant you still have a beautiful view on the ocean, which is really lovely. of course there are also seats outside for an even better view. 10/10 I can only recommend it and would certainly come again.
Harvester Bournemouth was one of a few options to eat at, and I'm glad we chose this place. The lunch menu was £12.99 for two courses and the options were good. I got the chicken burger, my friend got the gammon.
The drinks were a bit slow coming out, we waited approximately 10 to 15 minutes after ordering. The main was well presented, but the chips were not hot, but luke warm.
We loved our desserts, they were tasty and done just right. My friend let me taste her treacle cake, it was light and fluffy. My waffle was perfect.
Overall really good value for money.
I would say only say that it could be cleaned a little bit more. I understand that its by the beach and there must be a lot of ways dirt can get in, but windows and sides could be clean for daily use.
Henry was an absolutely great waiter, he was attentive, approachable.
Location is breath taking. It it right on the beach. The lay out allows many people to enjoy the view. The staff are happy and helpful. Prices are as expected for that area. I hope to see more food for other authenticity such as halal meat as it would cater for big group of tourists.
Only the second Harvester I've been to (in memory) but still finding them brilliant.
Had 'the dirty one' (doubled up on the patties and chips; didn't go for the double dirty since it comes with ribs) with a jug of Pimm's and lemonade.
The burger was exactly as expected: big, messy and full to the brim. Pimm's was a bit poorly mixed as the bottom was like pure bathtub spirits.
As with all Harvester locations, you get access to their pretty good salad bar with most meals (above a certain price, but not more than a tenner) which, given the meal I had, was hardly needed but much appreciated.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful, and despite it being packed service was reasonably quick.
Overall, very good for what it is. Lovely location right by the beach. Reasonably priced food, although drinks are a bit pricey if looking for a tipple. Would recommend if you're looking to destroy yourself with a meat and carb tower.
Incredibly good value all you can eat breakfast and excellent quality, all perfectly cooked and fresh tasting. Perfect poached eggs, fried mushrooms taste like they’re done in butter, excellent hash browns, tasty black pudding and the meat is all grilled, I think! Toast machine usually needs the toast to go through it twice for my taste, but that’s okay.
Long time since have been to a Harvester but for quality of food vs value it is excellent with Julie as our waitress.
For a family of 5… 2 adults and 3 kids… £90 before service where essentially including salad bar everyone has had a 3-course meal is great.
Nice view of the sea as well.
