Probable the last real pub in Bournemouth, the Cricketers has a fascinating history and has recently been beautifully renovated to create a comfortable, traditional, welcoming local. Often holds food or beer festivals. Worth a visit to see and feel local atmosphere and history.

A trip down memory lane for me as it was a regular venue when I ran karaoke and quiz nights. The outside has changed, but the inside was still the same. Very clean and tidy and very nice staff.

Every time my son visits...from Bristol...he makes a point of going to this pub. It was my late husbands favourite, and now it's my sons also . If in the area DO take time to pop in, you will have a warm greeting.

If you are looking for an original old school pub this is probably the last one left in the town. Original features are beautiful. Friendly staff reasonably priced drinks.

Decent, large, pub near Bournemouth Station. It is set on two levels the upper of which was converted from a gym where world champion boxer Freddie Mills once trained. Two cask beers on handpump when I visited. Lots of outdoor seating. Quiet after the Spurs game at the Vitality Stadium.

Nice locals bar, very friendly and easy to chat to anyone in there. Looking forward to seeing the renovation, hopefully it retains its traditional character. I would love to see more events here one day, maybe draw in a slightly younger crowd as well. Also props for having a class poole table

Proper old skool boozer, best one we've visited today. Love the wooden bar, I'm sure I saw something similar on a cruise ship many years ago. A hidden gem, come here for a 🍺

Lovely locals pub, with friendly staff and customers. Was very nice to find this... Quite a relief after some of the busier/rowdier places in town. Clean and safe. Recommended.

I like it Very mixed people. Chatty, friendly, helpful barman made us welcome. Sometimes TV on, sometimes quiet. Few dogs running around in pub. The porter I had was great. Mate less keen on his IPA.
