After not being able to drive for 5 months I was so excited to be able to have fish and chips from the chippy. I purchased cod in breadcrumbs and a children's battered sausage and chips. It was absolutely fantastic 👏 . This is a really great place. The staff are always happy and chatty. Well done Chips ahoy 🤩

For years I've been looking for a chippy that beats or rivals the chippy I had back in London and tonight I may of found it. No chip trays here! GOOD! This is an 80s style chippy with a full modern look. The chips are stright into paper just like it should be, and a large portion really is a large portion. The sausage in batter was perfect, not a fan of the saviloy it was a little hard but none the less I WILL be back here. I found the chips better than chez fred which has been our chippy for the last year. The staff here are good and definitely know their stuff. I was greeted with a smile by the staff and a warm welcome. And I even had a laugh with them. They had a busy turn over while I was there and even though I had a large order I was in and out quick. I'm actually glad I tried chips ahoy as moving from London to the seaside you expect great chippys but I've not found one,, till now!
Will definitely be coming back, big portions, full of flavor, great staff service, and reasonable prices, and a decent menu of items to pick from.
I've lived in Bournemouth for many years now and this is hands-down my favourite chippy around. Super friendly and great value. Never had a single issue. Also as an ex-fryer, I cannot fault quality and hygiene. So glad I found this place.

Lovely little chippy! Visited for the first time last night. Turned up just as they were about to shut (they close at 8pm not 8:30pm) but they still served us with a smile and friendly conversation. Even threw in a free pasty as it was left over and they were closing up.
Overall, great fish and chips and friendly service! Not sure if it's a blessing or a curse that they're just around the corner as we'll probably become regulars now!
