Had an absolutely lovely time in here. Pints were all poured perfectly and they had a good selection of drinks to choose from. Thought the service was brilliant from all the staff. They were all very friendly and attentive. We grabbed some food here as well which was great. I wouldn't say it was Mic
Tarl the Manager does a great job keeping this place near top spot of pubs in the area. His banter with the punters keeps us coming back, and always a great selection of beers on draft. Bit of a trek up/down the hill to get there, but it's worth it, trust me. A pub lovers delight.
Great Ambience, cheerful hard working staff great range of craft beer and good selection of other drinks . Decent menu choice and doesn’t cost the earth looking at the prices . Restaurant downstairs in venue was busy when we were there . Clean loos always a good sign if your planning to stay awhile.
We stayed at the inn and ate at the restaurant and both experiences were great. The rooms are definitely small but worth it for the price. The food at the restaurant were unreal! Amy was amazing and super nice to us, especially our 2 year old.
Had a meal here on our first night of a long weekend in the Lakes. The steak pie was lovely, however the green beans could've been cooked for abit longer. Also my friend had a gluten free burger but this wasn't cooked fully(this was replaced)
Waitress was friendly and couldn't do enough for us!

Good pub food in a cosy downstairs restaurant. We both had a very tasty beef and ale pie and chips and it was ample (I couldn't finish mine). The waitress was run off her feet but maintained a happy and friendly disposition-nothing was too much trouble. A good choice after a days walking.
This place is amazing. At street level this is a cosy real ale pub with a friendly, local vibe. But go downstairs and there's a restaurant serving brilliant home made food at very reasonable prices, and efficient and friendly service. Great vegetarian and vegan choices too. Highly recommended.
From the outside this looks like an nice ordinary pub, but there's nothing ordinary about it, wow there's a really nice atmosphere and downstairs there's a restaurant serving absolutely fabulous food. The staff were all nice and friendly and very efficient 5 stars all the way. Would definitely recom
This is a wonderful place to stay,rooms are clean and well equipped. Service is excellent,we had our little pug with us and the staff brought our meal upstairs to us. Staff were very friendly and attentive, food was amazing. This is definitely a fantastic place to stay.
