The Westmorland Inn - Bowness-on-Windermere - Photo album

Came for some easy pub grub, but ended up having one of the best meals we had eaten in a long time. Service was attentive but not overbearing, perfect. Food was all outstanding, not often my missus finishes the vegetables before the rest of the dish. Everything was perfectly cooked and well seasoned
We visited the restaurant twice whilst we were on holiday, and the pub was by far our favourite place to eat of those we tried in the town. The food is superb. Just delicious. Chef(s) sure can cook! I highly recommend the baked cod and the sticky toffee pudding, though I did try the steak pie one
Stayed last week with my partner. I was recommended the restaurant and it did not disapoint!! Some of the best food I have ever eaten. It was that good we changed our plans for the Sunday and dined in the restaurant again!! The Sunday roast was the best I have ever eaten!! Really can't wait to go ba
Ate at the restaurant, really really excellent food. Rarely leave reviews but felt the need since was so great! Staff were very friendly and attentive ,food was really high quality. Would highly recommend.
Kendal Weekend - Feb '24 - day trip to Windermere on the train. Great pub, deceptively big. Restaurant ground floor, or was it the basement as you went down 2 flights of steps to get there. Dog friendly, good service. Small selection of craft ale (Wainwright).
This was a wonderful find and we've been going to this area and nearby for years. We didn't stay in the hotel but had dinner in the restaurant, including Sunday roast for three of the four nights we were staying close by. The staff were delightful, Amy, Kyle, Tarl and Sophie couldn't do enough for y
Very good location friendly staff , stayed in a lovely spacious room, nice restaurant on the premises serving tasty food, and a cosy pub to have a after dinner drinks, definitely will be back
Great Ambience, cheerful hard working staff great range of craft beer and good selection of other drinks . Decent menu choice and doesn’t cost the earth looking at the prices . Restaurant downstairs in venue was busy when we were there . Clean loos always a good sign if your planning to stay awhile.
We went here for dinner. Amazing service, lovely people and delicious food. Super chilled out and dog friendly, would 100% recommend.
Booked a table for food. The 2 staff downstairs in the restaurant were fantastic. And so was the food. All in all we had a great time.
Tarl the Manager does a great job keeping this place near top spot of pubs in the area. His banter with the punters keeps us coming back, and always a great selection of beers on draft. Bit of a trek up/down the hill to get there, but it's worth it, trust me. A pub lovers delight.
Great meal, nicely cooked and very friendly service. And lots of proper vegetarian options!
Had an absolutely lovely time in here. Pints were all poured perfectly and they had a good selection of drinks to choose from. Thought the service was brilliant from all the staff. They were all very friendly and attentive. We grabbed some food here as well which was great. I wouldn't say it was Mic
We stayed at the inn and ate at the restaurant and both experiences were great. The rooms are definitely small but worth it for the price. The food at the restaurant were unreal! Amy was amazing and super nice to us, especially our 2 year old.
Had a meal here on our first night of a long weekend in the Lakes. The steak pie was lovely, however the green beans could've been cooked for abit longer. Also my friend had a gluten free burger but this wasn't cooked fully(this was replaced) Waitress was friendly and couldn't do enough for us!
