It has a lovely, friendly atmosphere. The menu was amazing. So much to choose from. We chose 7 dishes between two people. Every dish so full of FLAVOUR. Really enjoyed it and will certainly return.

This is a must visit if you’re in Bowness. The staff, the drinks, the food, the vibe; everything is simply on point. We’ve been many times now and will continue to return whenever we can as we simply love it. I’d recommend the chorizo with chick peas and the baked goats cheese - both are delicious!

My absolute favourite place in Bowness for midday tapas.
The staff are so welcoming and the food is fantastic.
There is something for everybody in both food and drink.
Once you are inside, it is like being in Spain for a short time.
I would recommend this to anybody.

Amazing food, great selection of beers and lovely atmosphere. The service was also good.

Absolutely amazing tapas bar with plenty of choices! The pork ribs were also especially tender and very tasty with the sauce, as were the garlic prawns.
Robert Winter
Great selection of tapas plates. Reasonable prices and very tasty too. Can't book so may have to wait (we waited around 30 mins at 8pm). Would definitely recommend and visit again!

Ate here for dinner tonight. Walked in and expected to wait for a table as other reviews said, however got a table for 2 straight away. Staff were all friendly. Food arrived quickly, and all the dishes were delicious and good portions. The only reason for 4 stars, is that whilst waiting for food, I saw the chef walk out with gloves still on to get more stock twice, may have changed his gloves, may not have which is unhygienic when handling food. But would definitely come back.

Could give it more than 5 stars if that was an option.
Service was warm, friendly, and swift. Was quiet when we came, so the food was quick to arrive.
So much choice and cooked to perfection. Absolutely outstanding.
Definitely visit this place if your here in Windermere

Tapas was great and drinks were even better. Ordered baked prawns, paella along with coconut mojito and tap beer estrella damn. Highly recommended.

Ic and Flic have only been here once before. Good bar to try some tapas and wine. Has one real ale; Theakstone Summit on this visit. Very good. The bar is bigger than it looks from the street. A bar area at rear for drinks or tables spread about for eating. Small amount of seating out front on the pavement.

OK, so we were told straight away that it would take about 30 minutes for food as they were really busy. They were definately near capacity but we didn't have to wait to be seated. My wife and I had a couple of drinks whilst waiting but the service was there when we needed them without any prompting. The food arrived within the 30 mins and it was very tasty. The service was as good as the food. My wife and I had a good time. Thank you.

Amazing food, amazing cocktails, lovely place! Would highly recommend.

We had a great meal out here following reading some good google reviews. The four of us had a brilliant meal - we asked for some advice about how many dishes to order from the tapas menu and it was spot on. The service was good and it was reasonably priced. Very tasty food.

A lovely spot for tapas in Bowness. You couldn’t book so we came earlier around 5:30pm and got a table, the place filled up completely by 7pm.
The sangria is great, we then had a bottle of Rioja. You choose the tapas by ticking off a sheet, and it’s all brought to the table at once.
The paella could have had more flavour, and the garlic prawns weren’t the best. Overall it was a lovely dinner though and we’d recommend

Lovely cocktails, much cheaper than everywhere else in this area and was open the latest compared to every where we'd tried. Staff were friendly and seemed happy and danced along behind the bar which added to the Lovely atmosphere and welcoming environment. Budget friendly!

We went here on a recommendation from a friend who said the food was brill. We were not disappointed!! We ordered 3 tapas dishes each (which we wolfed down...) and it was gorgeous. The beef skewers were very salty and a little bit pink for our tastes. Very tasty however overall and if my stomach would have let me, I would have eaten it all over again. We also had a dessert to finish our meal, I had churros and my partner had the gluten free Toblerone cake. What a way to end a beautiful meal and would certainly recommend the gluten free cake. Well priced and certainly worth the visit. Thank you!

After hearing so many wonderful things about this restaurant we thought we would give it a try. On first walking in, we asked for a table for two and the waiter simply pointed to a table and didn't even speak. My husband asked what beers they had and the waiter simply responded by pointing to the menu.
We decided on the food we wanted and when the waitress came over we read her the numbers out. After each number she said the name of the dish and we confirmed that they were all correct.
Shortly after a different waiter came and brought us our food, however we noticed that one dish wasn't correct so told the waiter. He responded by saying 'That is what you ordered' and placed it down on the table. We told him that we had ordered beef skewers not beef stew and that the waitress had read it to us. The waiter was extremely rude telling us that we had ordered it and that we had to have it now.
I told him that it wasn't what we had ordered for a forth time when he eventually agreed to change it for us. I have never in my life experienced such appalling service from a restaurant.
The food was delicious however our negative experience means that we definitely would not visit again.
The night after we visited Villa Positana a few doors down where we received impeccable and friendly service.

Ended up at this place by chance passing through Windemere. They had good portion tapas and an interesting atmosphere, with a bar downstairs where you could order tapas and sit outside with a drink or a restaurant upstairs. Food was good and well made. The only downside was a server; we (my husband and I) arrived at a completely empty restaurant just after they opened, and was greeted by a grumpy server. When we asked if we could have the table by the window he said that he had to keep it in case a table of 4 came (restaurant has approximately 25 tables in various sizes) and we accepted this. Shortly after this another couple arrived and was immidiately seated by that table despite many 2 seat tables still being free. While we were there there was a total of 5 groups of people including us, 2 of these were couples and were seated by that specific table. The female server who took our order and took care of us for the rest of our stay was really nice and helpful.

Its a great place to both eat and drink. Central location. Outside heaters. Good choice of beers with happy, friendly staff. Tapas taste authentic whereby a large choice is available on a comprehensive menu. Attractive prices. No-one ever stays for just one. Always longer

Hands down best tapas we have ever eaten and being avid travellers to Spain we have sampled quite few! Sangria was lovely and the service was amazing! Highly recommended!

Completely ignorant staff! Tried to have a bit of chat, spoke Spanish only to be told “do I look fuckin Spanish” then asked what some other couple ordered.... look at the fuckin menu.... place should be condemed!

Fab place never been to a tapas restaurant before very busy but staff were attentive and service quick. Loved the food there!

Bar staff ridiculously slow. Crowded bar yet seem more interested in putting glasses back in place. Priorities in the wrong place better places in the area.

We visited on the off chance of getting a table after another restaurant we planned on going to was closed. We were told that it was full but that they'd try to squeeze us in and I'm so glad they did! The food was amazing - tasted really fresh and homemade. A wide variety to choose from and very reasonably priced too! Definitely recommend
