What a great pub, the food was excellent as was the welcome. Will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend others to give it a try
Just ate from the new brunch menu it was amazing very polite and helpful staff.
Went for dinner tonight (insane I know in the snow!) and it was absolutely fabulous, very quiet but waitress very attentive and helpful with weather updates and also travel updates on the back roads (another employee had just been down the road). The food was absolutely gorgeous, we did rush a bit as I was panicking about getting back in the snow so next time we'll take it much slower, will definitely be back very soon!
Stayed here August Bank Holiday Sunday, sadly for one night only. A treat to ourselves after a weekend of working hard. This is going to be our go-to place to stay every time we have to visit Milton Keynes. Beautiful room, fabulous food and what made it really special was the friendly welcome and great service from the owners and staff. And what a lovely village.... just saying from someone who was proud to live in a small village in rural mid-Wales for many years.
A nice relaxed pub with good food and a flexible menu for 'fussy children'. A good find, and worthy of a visit. There was nothing negative. So if you have read this far, just go, or phone and book a table.
Nice country pub with rooms.
Good rooms in a separate cottage, clean and well appointed with tea and coffee.
They do evening meals but no breakfast.
Good value for money.
Only 20 minutes drive from Silverstone
Lovely friendly pub. Full of atmosphere, very helpful friendly service. I stayed over night in a businee trip. The room was comfortable and beautifully presented. The only issue was thar WiFi didn't reach the bedroom I was in. Apart from that a perfect trip
Great little pub for Sunday lunch. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the roast dinner gets a firm thumbs up with massive Yorkshire Pudding, tasty carrots and parsnips and lovely crunchy roast potatoes. Pretty decor and sun trap garden out the back. Highly recommend.
I booked Easter Sunday for dinner purely based on reviews, boy was it well worth the visit. Best roast dinner I have ever had in a restaurant! Nice little local pub serving great food and supported by a great atmosphere. I had the Ham roast which was also an option on Easter Shnday, I added roast beef and mashed potatoes. Everything was crispy and fluffy, nice thick gravy on the side was divine. If you haven't been here for food make sure you make the trip. Thanks again for a great dinner. Dog friendly pub with a little garden at the rear. Ample parking.
Lovely food in a quaint village.
The food was well cooked well presented and at a reasonable price.
A traditional pub that is dog friendly. Altogether very pleasant.
Delightful little country pub with a delicious menu. If I was in the area again I'd definitely make a point of visiting again as it had a lot of thoughtful little touches about the place and the food was fantastic.
Came along for a quick lunch and drink not really knowing much about it - we will definitely come back. Lovely little pub, in a cute and quiet village. The quality of food is fantastic, selection really decent, the portions are generous, and we were surprised to pay only a little over half of what we expected. Service was friendly and prompt. Don’t miss this one! (The panko encrusted brie starter will haunt my dreams 😁)
Called in for lunch today. Super service. Friendly staff. Great menu with lots of variety and vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Looking forward to going back soon.
