Nice store, helpful staff, but it was really annoying that the books weren't in any kind of order other than grouped by genre, so trying to find everything by specific author was impossible. Even the staff member we spoke to couldn't find a couple of the books they said they had in stock because the shelves are so chaotic. For that reason, I dropped 1 star. However, if you like the randomness and stumbling across odd books here and there, I imagine this would be a great experience.

Having tried a wide range and multiple books on a quest for new reading material that didn't quite hit the mark for my 12yo I headed to Waterstones in Bracknell armed with two photos. One for all the books he really enjoyed and one for those he didn't, for various reasons. I asked for some help in store, showed the photos and explained the reasons for his likes and dislikes. Well, I could not be more impressed and grateful to the chap who assisted. He took time to understand, so quickly was able to get exactly what my child found 'a good read', despite him not actually being there, recommending some books. I came away with three books and new authors to try. Thus far, now on book two, my child has really enjoyed the recommendations. Thank you so much for your help and kind assistance, it is very much appreciated.
