Nice freshly cooked food, made to order so you may have a little bit of a waiting time.
I am a support worker and we bring the guys that we support here and staff are very good with them.
Usually we have the children's fish bites with chips and buy a pot of mushy peas as it is big enough for an adult. We always find it's very tasty, you get 3 decent sized pieces of fish yummy.

Visit 27/08/2023 afternoon. Polite staff and a clean shop overall. The food was fresh and reasonably priced. I ordered a fish cake butty at £4.95 which came with a generous amount of chips too. Thank you to all at Mother Hubbards Ingleby Rd BD8. See you soon.

Visited this place for the first time in June 2023. Good clean place, quick service, friendly staff. Ordered fish, chips and beans which was really nice and the right size portion. The downside is the toilets as they were a mess.

The lady on the counter is so nice. Bless her. I didn't hear her and I said to curry sauce on top of chips yes. She changed in straight away without hesitation. Food and price was spot on.

Amazing food, great service by Joyce she is such a nice lady very welcoming after a long 3 hour drive from London.
Would definitely come back.
Come check it out.
Only suggestion for reteraunt is having sauce bottles for convenience.

Clean and tidy place. Plenty of parking spaces available. Fish was done perfectly 10/10. Batter was crispy and cooked all the way through, and not oily or under cooked. Chips were acceptable 7/10. Mushy pease were great 10/10, not too runny or under cooked. There was a wide selection of soda cans. Even though I ordered a special, I didn't have to wait too long before the waitress brought it over to my table.

Wow Fish and chips is done right here. Very delicious would recommend to all who love their fish and chips.
Very nice and lit place, nice and cozy sitting, good for family dinner’s.
I really liked their interior and cleanliness was really good which is biggest plus point in any food place.
