I had the best Ghana Jollof ever in 2023. The chicken was smoked to just the perfect taste. 2 drumstick, 1 full bowl of Ghana jollof and fried plantain for just £10. It felt soooooo good to eat home food.
The environment is also very clean and cosy. Very friendly and welcoming African couple. The food tastes really good, no doubt. I've had to taste their puff puff in the past, too, and I can attest to the fluffiness too
The fish was definitely really good, my son loved the burger, chips were good. Everyone was really friendly and amazing. They were such good host they even danced with us, and taught us a dance.
Thank you for such an amazing time Kofi, Jabu, the beautiful lady that served us and the rest of the staff. We will be back to try more dishes especially the fufu.
Wonderful experience with great customer service. The foods is very delicious and well presented to suite your watering mouth..its africa to the world.

Amazing authentic African food. Brilliant flavoursome food at a great price. The service is fantastic, and It's also halal! I had the Jollof Rice, and my friend had the Waakye... Simply stunning!
I can’t lie their food is soo good one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at. The people there are soo nice too my phone went off and this woman offered to pay our Uber for us after eating.
Rhoda and Kofi and the team at Yam Spice are warm, welcoming and hospitable. The food is very delicious and highly recommended. It's a genuine taste of African cuisine. The fried rice and jellof rice is exquisite. The tilapia and fried Yam is bursting with flavour. The banku and soup is sweet you will ask for a second serving.
I will definitely be eating at the restaurant again.
The fish was very good. My sons chicken and jollof rice was tasty too and the African burger was tasty as well. It was all new spices and sauces that were so yummy. The service was great too and it was all reasonably priced as well. Well worth it. We'll be going back to try something different on the menu next time.
Myself and my partner went in on a quiet Sunday evening. The service was warm, patient and super knowledgable about all the food. We know a little bit about West African food but felt super comfortable to try foods that had been suggested. When the food arrived we didn’t talk for the duration of the meal because it was so tasty! Everything had a depth of flavour and careful additions of spice! The puff puff (fried pastry) was gorgeous, I think there was a hint of cinnamon or some other warm spices - lush! The red soup, peanut stew, a selection of meat, moi moi (delicious fermented beans, similar to tofu but spicy)!
I can’t wait to return with friends and family! Thank you!
First time I ordered from Yam spice, first experience of African food and OMG I was gob smacked I savoured every bite of my goat curry, didn't want to share with the hubby so next time ill be ordering 2.The Lagos pufpuf was soft, plantain went well with the food. Everything tasted fresh it was warm I absolutely loved it. Decently priced aswell. Definitely trying the rest of the menu
