A totally hidden gem of a place. Dropped in for drinks one night whilst staying in Braemar and the place is amazing. Ended up eating here 3 nights - food and service was excellent and very reasonable. Only a small kitchen so definitely advise booking, but trust me it's worth it.

The proprietors are extremely nice and lovely people. The food is fantastic. The full highland compliment of breakfast items lovingly prepared are more than enough to fuel most adults for a day out and about whether you plan on outdoor activities or not. The dinner menu is outstanding and the food was some of the best we have had in Scotland. They prepare each dinner by hand and the great care they put into each is apparent. They only serve a few people each night so be sure to book your dinner reservation when you check in lest you find yourself walking or driving thru town to find another option and you will have certainly missed out. The rooms are well appointed. The ensuite lavatories are great. We had a very nice stay and highly recommend this for friends, couples, and families staying in the Braemar area.

We a group of 5 stayed last night whilst we came to ski at glenshee for the weekend and the hotel was outstanding service, excellent food and a great bar with plenty of selection we really enjoyed sitting in the living room area having a drink between friends and a chat with the locals in the bar. Very well presented hotel and the owners are such nice people. I'm hoping to visit glenshee regular with my kids and partner as it's a great place to have fun for all and we have no need to stay anywhere else than here as it was faultless. Thankyou for having us

Pre -booked an evening meal here and were not disappointed . Excellent fillet steak . French fries , mushies , tomatoes and onion rings aplenty but good sensible portions . Ice cream to follow was also delicious .Hosts were friendly and efficient . A really enjoyable end to a fine day in the hills .

What a terrific accommodation place! Lovely attractive building with sumptuous rooms completely decorated in the most tasteful style. Then the restaurant, bar etc where also first class. A hotel is often judged by its staff and in this case 15 out of 10 only just does them justice. Sincerely recommended to everybody.

We came for a week of skiing in Glenshee, and it ended with on day in Cairngorm. However, we had a great week in Braemar. The hospitality, food and drinks at Moorfield House Hotel is exceptional. Thanks to Maria and Grant for a great stay, and all the best in the future.

Found this treat of a place yesterday after a hearty walk along the river. The owners and locals immediately welcomed us and engaged in friendly and often hilarious conversation. Came back today and yet again locals who were complete strangers treated us as good friends! Open, warm and very reasonably priced drinks. If you like your whisky the bar has 91 varieties to choose from. We will be back here as often as possible

This is a very nice B&B, not a hotel any more. Rooms are hotel standard but no TV in room although there are 2 TV lounges downstairs. Located only a 10 minute walk from the centre. Driveway can be quite dark later at night. Lovely breakfast and tea and coffee in the room. Great views over the Highland games park if an event is on. Adequate parking. Room was cosy and bed comfortable.

We stayed here for 4nights over my birthday to try and get a few days skiing at Glenshee. The hotel is in a fantastic, quiet position on the edge of the village but overlooking the Gathering field. They were really friendly, room was comfortable and breakfast was really good. Would definitely return if heading to Scotland skiing again.

Fantastic Food and Service in lovely setting. The food is absolutely fantastic and so well presented. Having a meal in the bar is also lovely as you catch up with what is going on in the area from the friendly locals. The whole experience, including cost, is wonderful. Thank you so much.

This is a small, but lovely hotel in Braemar. It has a small but well stocked bar, and great food (a little light on vegetarian options though) at good prices. The rooms are also lovely and we'll decorated. It can be a little noisy when other guests are moving about on the landing, but the sound between rooms is otherwise fine. The breakfast is excellent - the hotel asks that guests decide their breakfast the evening before. I would definitely stay there again, for the price it's excellent, and the local area is truly lovely.

Absolutely love this hotel. The food is amazing. The t bone steak cooked too perfection. We come braemar once a year and always go to this hotel for dinner . We can also bring the dog which is an added bonus . Looking forward to our next visit

Lovely stay at this cute hotel. Very comfortable room, and a nice breakfast in the morning. Great location, close enough to the village centre to be walkable but also far away enough that you don't hear the motorbikes! 🤣

Very good food and service. In need of taking a little bit care of the other “details”… Starting with the PLUS POINTS: FOOD: Roast Salmon fillet served with new potatoes and vegetables + Brownies… everything DELICIOUS!!! SERVICE: our waiter, a young boy, was simply PERFECT!!! MINUS POINTS: DINING ROOM decoration WASN’T, to us, UP TO THE FOOD… let’s say: totally conflicting with it! LOCATION: we had quite a few troubles in finding the restaurant, because of the wrong/lacking signs! BOTTOM LINE: the minus points can be fixed without a big effort... it’s worth it: you have a treasure there, with your food and service! ;-) Price per quality: honest.

Really enjoyed a nights stay here - nice to be in one of the only family owned B&Bs in Braemar. Excellent food for our evening meal. Breakfast was quite basic but nice enough. Rooms were very comfortable and well looked after.
