What a great place to stop off for drink and food. We only stopped for breakfast but the menu also looked good for lunch and dinner. You can sit outside or enjoy the old timber framed decor inside.I understand they have a dance floor for some tribute nights. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I.ll be returning with my wife for a evening meal sometime. I definitely recommend this.

This is a very good place to go for a meal the main menu is very good English fare. I have been there a number of times now and the food is very consistent in quality. The service is good and the staff are very friendly. The restaurant seating area is rustic and cosy and there is an upper seating area which would be great for a romantic dinner. The selection of desserts is also very good. This restaurant is a very pleasant place to visit any day of the week. I highly recommend it.

The food was lovely but it was very busy and ordering/paying at the counter took a long time. This also meant that people were queued through the restaurant which didn't make for an ideal dining experience. This was the only thing to let it down and it is great to see them so busy. The best roast dinner I've had in a long time.

Went in for a family birthday Sunday lunch, we were given the whole of upstairs which was great. Slight mix up with the service that led to a couple of meals coming 15mins b4 any others. New staff member, was quickly addressed & free round of drinks. Food & staff were both lovely & we all enjoyed our time. 17th Nov

Food was good. Would go back there again. Staff were nice. However, need to know NOT to put the hot plates in front of the 2 year old.. Easy mistake when you don't have kids but could of been very dangerous.

Lovely very conformable homely feel. Extremely nice food (specially the roast) and very friendly staff. Access for wheelchairs and ample parking. Few local shops selling items that little bit different. Highly recommended.

Food was nice. they were friendly and played along in trying to get my pre-schooler to eat his dinner (we were talking about how strong it would make him, they said he'd get great big muscles, that type of thing). The children's menu isn't the healthiest, but we found something he would eat. My bigger child just went for an adult meal. the adults menu is pretty good, it was a Sunday, so we should have just gone for the roast, but both my son and I went for the poached salmon, which was nicely cooked. The sauce was a little sweet for me, but overall good. Was very reasonably priced too. I think we paid less than £40 for the three of us, with a drink each.

Very nice place, part of the Blake House craft centre. Had a very nice lunch with a friend. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
