It was a miserable wet day when my daughter, granddaughter and I came into Pizza Express. We were welcomed by Carl who looked after us so well and nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed our visit.

Excellent lunch experience in all aspects (17/07/23). Very tasty (and promptly ordered and delivered) food, great staff, nice clean setting and atmosphere. Very nice to my children too!

Popped in this eve and wow what a great restaurant food was fresh and really well cooked and presented our waitress Toni was fabulous. had a couple of not great meals in PE (not this one) lately.
But hey pizza express. These guys done great. Well done team.

Joined two friends for a pizza on Christmas eve. It had been a number of years since we last visited Pizza Express and it was still good. Dough balls were delicious and my mushroom pizza was superb and it was not an issue to change the base from bechemel to tomato. The young lad serving us was fantastic. I just only wish I had asked his name for a special mention. We will definitely return when we are next in the area.

Nice look place with a big menu. I think this is the first time I've been here. Nice selection of pizzas and being able to do a half and half was good too! We used our Tesco vouchers for the food so we only paid for drinks. Nice cheap meal out!

Ordered a takeaway for collection, 7 pizza, (2 vegan) and 8 sides and a salad bowl. Given then complex nature of our order was not holding out much hope of it being all present and correct but I was proven wrong! Not only was the food proper fresh and tasty, everything was correct and even got extra complimentary dough balls! Manager was really efficient and ticked everything off to make sure we had it all and even kept salad separate so it stayed cold. Really good food, even better service!

The food was lovely, the service and atmosphere was really nice and such a chilled evening. However our server Adam really made our night, he was so polite and informative about the dishes and his interaction with us made our night even more special.

Staff were attentive and friendly but the gluten free pizza was very rubbery. Not the best and how can you justify charging £3.45 for a small pot of coleslaw!

Staff were good and friendly .they were very busy . The food was not so good. I had pasta which was burnt around the edges and was very bland. My friend had pizza which was very average. Could have got the same for a £1 from Sainsbury's whereas this was 11.95. We waited a long long time for the food.then they said they had ran out of what we'd ordered and we had to order again so it took an hour to get our food. The calamari was horrible. Overall very disappointed. I used to love it here but the food has gone downhill.

I’d booked a table for eight late this afternoon for my daughters 9th birthday and we were heading somewhere else afterwards for a little pamper party. Unfortunately the retail business running the pamper party called me five hours beforehand to say that they would have to change the time or day as they were understaffed due to sickness! I spoke to the Pizza Express manager (Jack) who was a fantastic, said he could change our table time, and could even arrange a pizza making party if we couldn’t sort things out. Luckily we got it sorted, and arrived for our original table at 4.30. Jack and his staff were great, making the meal really special, and even let the girls make their own pizzas (though we hadn’t arranged that). My daughter said she had the best party ever. Thank you �

They had no kids lollies or vanilla ice cream on the Monday in half term. Given that there would be more children in there during half term week poor ordering on someone's behalf! We didn't order deserts as a result.

Took my son and his friends to Pizza Express Braintree for his birthday party meal, they had a fantastic time and loved being able to make their own pizzas. The staff were fantastic and made sure all the kids had a wonderful time.

Just wanted to thank the staff working today- we had our two daughters, it was the eldest birthday- they put a candle in her dessert and sang happy birthday which she loved- then my youngest cried and cried cos she wanted a candle and song so they brought out another ice cream and candle for her too, and then didn't charge us for either of the desserts. Was really lovely customer service xx

Food was really good service not so good. Ordered oj and lemonade and was given a sprite explained what I wanted and was then given a full glass of juice and a separate bottle of lemonade . I personally don't think oj and lemonade is very difficult to understand but as I said food good just need to work on their service.
