During my recent visit to The Royal Oak in Braithwaite, I had the pleasure of not only experiencing their amazing restaurant but also staying at their charming hotel. I must say, my stay was nothing short of delightful, and I am eager to share my positive experience.

Absolutely beautiful place. Meal was outstanding. Rooms spotless clean and very comfortable. ALL staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be returning. Thanks for a wonderful stay .
Gorgeous pub just outside of Keswick, staff were friendly and showed us up to our room which was spotlessly clean and spacious. Food was lovely too. Great walks all around and Keswick town is lovely. Definitely worth a visit or a stay at the Royal Oak if you are in the area.
Had a great stay at the Royal Oak Hotel at Braithwaite. A warm and friendly welcome from the staff. The hotel was a great area for walking and great access to the rest of the lakes. Dined here twice this week. Both times the staff and food have been excellent. The young man with the cap and cool T-shirts remembered us and was welcoming. Both nights the food was piping hot and tasty . In all we had 4 different meals .
Popped in for lunch - delicious hot pot. Staff were very friendly and welcoming for us and our new born. Baby changing facilities even had bags and Nappies provided. Thanks to the staff of Royal Oak, very accommodating and highly recommend. Will definitely visit again. Thanks.
We stayed in Braithwaite (just a few minutes walk away from the Royal Oak) for a weekend away in the lakes…the food and service was so good that we came back 2 consecutive nights. Hard day on the fells enjoyed a lovely gammon steak & a few pints. Good value excellent meals, quick service and cosy surroundings. Well worth a visit plenty of outside seating for warmer days.

what a lovely pub nestled in the mountains, I stayed for 2 nights. Staff Leon and Becca were incredibly accommodating & helpful. Heavily recommend a visit. Great food!
Lovely pub near Keswick, had a great selection of drinks and friendly spaces for dogs. While we opted not to bring our dog in, it was nice for the staff to let us know that there was space available in the dog friendly area should we wish to move and bring the dog in.

We just were passing through and chanced upon this place to eat. We had roasted turkey dinner... Huge and tasty! Great value, nice atmosphere, clean, lovely staff and great food! Ticked all our boxes and we highly recommend it! Thank you to all, happy Christmas!
