Gorgeous pub just outside of Keswick, staff were friendly and showed us up to our room which was spotlessly clean and spacious. Food was lovely too. Great walks all around and Keswick town is lovely. Definitely worth a visit or a stay at the Royal Oak if you are in the area.

Dined here twice this week. Both times the staff and food have been excellent. The young man with the cap and cool T-shirts remembered us and was welcoming. Both nights the food was piping hot and tasty . In all we had 4 different meals .

We stayed in Braithwaite (just a few minutes walk away from the Royal Oak) for a weekend away in the lakes…the food and service was so good that we came back 2 consecutive nights. Lovely pub near Keswick, had a great selection of drinks and friendly spaces for dogs. While we opted not to bring our dog in, it was nice for the staff to let us know that there was space available in the dog friendly area should we wish to move and bring the dog in.

We just were passing through and chanced upon this place to eat. We had roasted turkey dinner... Huge and tasty! Great value, nice atmosphere, clean, lovely staff and great food! Ticked all our boxes and we highly recommend it! Thank you to all, happy Christmas!
