Review Kim's Bulgogi - Brandon

There are little pockets of culture and flavor b England that could only be found by venturing into a village. Kim’s Bulgogi is conveniently located near RAF Lakenheith so I hope they contribute to deliver tasty food for years to come. I drove over an hour to try Kim’s Bulgogi and it’s only shortfall was the beef dish. The best choice for flavor is the teriyaki chicken. Pair that with a combo and the rice soaks up all the delicious sauce for free. For only £8.50 the quantity is a steal! Their preparation time seems a little long but for the teriyaki it tastes fresh so it’s worth the wait. I would avoid the beef as there is no flavor, no sauce, and lots of fat. The parking lot is small, and the inside only has a dozen chairs, but even if you’re only ordering takeout like me, just call ahead first.

I have family that live nearby. It's out of the way to visit Kim's but completely worth it. Every time we visit, we stop at Kim's. I recommend the crispy chilli chicken. I can't share my thoughts on eating inside as I always eat in the car. Sorry. I hope you enjoy the food as much as my wife and I do.

My family and I have eaten takeaway from this restaurant, many times. I can honestly say, from my experience, that it is probably more Korean-inspired than actually just Korean, but don't let that stop you from trying. The food at Kim's Bulgogi, generally, is very delicious! You won't be disappointed, unless you were stationed in Korea and are trying to compare one-on-one. If you can accept the food for what it is, you are certain to enjoy it. However, I do have a minor issue, worth note. The portion size of meat vs rice or meat vs noodles is highly inconsistent. This has caused me major disappointment and left me hungry, as the amount of meat that is given is dependent on the person working. it would seem there is no standard quantity, such as a specific amount of grams or measured out to determine a portion. As I have said, the place has really good food. If you haven't tried, I recommend that you give it a chance, just so long as you are aware that you could potentially be disappointed by the portion size of the meat. *Edit 24 September* It should be mentioned that the interior needs a good cleaning!!!

First time trying it! The crispy soy chicken was delicious! The spicy beef and chicken were very tasty! The staff was amazing and very helpful. We will return.

Absolutely amazing. I've been here so many times but I never reviewed it. I started going here back when it first opened in 2014. The food is amazing. I normally get half Spicy pork bulgogi and half crispy chili chicken with the standard rice. The pork is cooked at a high temperature and they manage to get a good char on the pork. The crispy chili chicken is everyone's favorite including mine but it is such a high demanded item that they cook it in really big batches and most of the time it's not as fresh as I would want it and it's been sitting there a long time. Of late I have been avoiding the crispy chili chicken and getting the teriyaki chicken or even the soy chicken as they have to cook that to order most of the time. The fire chicken is really good. It's a shame but the actual beef bulgogi is too fatty for my taste. The price for what you get is great. I'm always full when I eat a large order and I eat a lot. You can always skip the line and call ahead. Don't hesitate and go here for some great food.

Decent food, nice service, but too small to eat in if you want to enjoy the food and company of friends or family without a customer breathing over your shoulder waiting to order. 😂.

The food is do good from here, especially the crispy chili chicken. £10 left in my bank account? Consider it spent on kims. On the brink of homelessness but still have £10 to spare? Consider me well fed, homeless, and broke. Service is good too :)

Great Beef Bulgogi, very solid flavor. Rice was very good. Small location, but very centrally located. Great local restaurant.

Really enjoyed the food and the staff were polite and friendly. The shop was clean and it didn't take long to get our food.

The food is delicious and the portions are big. I usually get the Crispy Chilli Chicken, and have been blown away everytime.

One of my favorite places to eat around lakenheath. Crispy chilli chicken with Japchae is absolutely to die for. My husband gets the beef bulgogi, it's also good. If you call in ahead of time, they will have your oder ready within 15mins. The ladies who work here are kind too.

Kim's was packed but the staff are very efficient so it wasn't a long wait from ordering to receiving our food. The staff are friendly, food was delicious with good size portions (get large if you're a big eater). It's a 30mins drive for me but worth it and I'll definitely be going back.

Really good freshly made food. The service is pretty fast as well since you order at the counter. It's a very small place so it fills up quickly as far as seating goes if you are there during lunch or dinner busy hours. Nice quick stop for a quality lunch!

Pretty good korean food. I go there for their spicy chilli wings and crispy chilli chicken. The last time my husband and I went though, he had food poisoning and since then we stopped going.

Nice Koreans meal... healthy fast food style meals served here. No chairs ... u stand to eat like a traditional Korean fast food joint . Don't be fooled though , food isn't ur typical fast food . It's a mix of traditional Chinese and Korean food

This is the best Korean food you'll get outside of the peninsula. Pretty decent prices for the quantity of food you'll get. I very much recommend this place & would say to order the #5 - Spicy Chicken Bulgogi with side of Kimchi!

So delicious. I was so excited to find that there was a Korean place in town. My husband and I have gone there twice now since we've arrived. The first time we went we ordered four Bulgogi and a side of wings. The second time I ordered bibimpap with spicy beef. The soy sauce with pepper sauce made it that much more better.

We picked up dinner last night from there and it was great. The fire chicken bulgogi was amazing if you like spicy. The kimchi was fresh and so good. A 100% must try and picking up from then again

This place is great. The best place to get a hearty meal when it is cold out. But don't just go when there is a chill in the air, this place is good every season. This is my wife and my go to place on the weekends or when we're short on time. If you call ahead to pick up, they have it ready in less than ten minutes. She gets the chicken bibimbap and I go for the fire chicken bulgolgi, which is pretty spicy. We like the kimchee they sell also.

My husband and I get take away from here and it's always amazing and hot! I love the chicken bulgogi!

Korean food has long been on my gastronomic Mt. Rushmore for as long I can remember. I actually had the pleasure of living right outside Seoul a few years ago, which was absolute bliss for my tastebuds. Fast forward to my current home in the UK in which I stumbled upon this little gem located in the quaint town of Lakenheath. The menu is very simple: choose your meat (or veggie), pair it with rice/japchae (noodles) or bibbimbap (veggies, and a fried egg). They have regular and large options available. And drinks and side dishes ranging from kimchi to dumplings. They have two small outdoor tables in the front; the majority of their business comes from takeaway and call-in pickups. The inside can become crowded quickly however, the fast service usually offsets this situation. What is a constant occurrence is the overall deliciousness of the food. It's just as good as the crowded Korean bbq restaurants located across South Korea. Easily my favorite restaurant in the area, a must visit for newcomers.

Great food, take away only. I had the fire chicken bibimbop and kimchi, the portion was fairly large. Fresh and tasty, had a friendly staff too.
