Capital Tacos

Let me start by saying the food is always good. However…. I’ve visited this location approximately 4 times in the last 2 years. I would be here at least once a month or more if the cost wasn’t extremely high for the quantity of food (3 tacos, small chips and queso and a small drink was $25) . Also the restaurant is always dirty my feet literally stick to the floor as I walk to sit down. On this particular visit I sat down in the rear of the restaurant and was waiting for my food when I noticed the entire wall was crawling with ants.

Honestly they used to be so much better. Their poor staff is under trained and management doesn't seem to be in the building. But today I'll probably never eat a MC Yum Yum or Double Mesa again. They have cockroaches! At least they gave us a refund. It sad how much they've gone down since they franchised.

Rotten Chicken tonight!!! Use to be our favorite spot.. that’s changed after the staff’s (Gary’s) attitude after I approached him about the chicken tasting old asking if maybe they changed vendors or something because again we’ve eaten here often, he smirked stating it was just done this morning and brushed my concerns off walking away not even offering to remake our $25 order (ck quesadilla & hen house over fries) that was barely touched after we tasted the rancid taste. Another couple with 4 children overheard me talking to another employee that worked for the building leasing owner that he had gone to them earlier about his ck tacos tasting awful too. The father of the family then spoke up and said their $60 worth of chicken fill items is also being thrown away too for the same reason! It’s bad enough that this company was alerted earlier in the day that their chicken was bad but to keep selling it and not listen when others approached due to concerns they were fearful of themselves or their child getting sick is not only appalling but is honestly negligent if God forbid any of my family, the other family or the employee that works there gets sick from it! See pics below as I brought our meals home because first, I never got a receipt (employee crumbled it up and tossed it without asking me but I wasn’t concerned as I’d NEVER had an issue before tonight..) but mainly to have physical proof if we do get sick! I also advised the other family tossing theirs to do the same just in case… it’s surprising to be honest and a flat out shame that “Gary” could have retained a customer, saved the company a bad review and kept all of us suckers he fed the bad food to tonight from the opportunity to know he ALREADY KNEW the meat was bad and still endangered customers from an earlier alert by someone he knows… all he had to do was offer to remake our meal… I wasn’t even asking for money back just wanted what I paid for, instead now my stomach is churning, my kiddo and I are still hungry and now I have to deal with drama like this review and the pain in the you know what of contacting corporate on Monday when they open too!! They need to know the liability this location is willing to put the community and their company in. As you see in photos below… we couldn’t eat most of our meals…. What a waste of hard earned cash!

Best option I made for dinner! After going to Capital Tacos at Riverview and staff turned us down because they wanted us to place our order through their website, we were really upset because that’s not the customer service we expected. We really wanted to eat Capital Tacos so we called the Brandon location were not only they were friendly over the phone but when we arrived it was a very welcoming place. The manager kept her employees motivated at all times. And I’m glad the Riverview location turned us down because if not, I wouldn’t had experience the awesome Brandon location. Keep it up!!

Best tacos that I have ever eaten in my life! Great, fast services and again the chicken fajita, grilled shrimp, and fried fish tacos were simply AMAZING! I'm legit sad that I don't live in the Tampa area so I could go to this place all of the time. Will definitely be back though whenever I'm in town.
