Boat House - Braunston - Photo album

Welcoming atmosphere. Fresh warm decor. Great selection of food. Good choice of beers. The server was friendly, polite and warm. There was no pressure to select from the menu until we were ready. The food arrived in good time and was well presented tasty and very enjoyable.
First night hiring out a narrow boat and we made it to Braunston! Arrived late and was quite hungry so decided to go to the Boat House as it was closest and had good reviews! Really friendly staff and the food was tasty however cleanliness was a bit lacking and the food is definitely overpriced!
Friendly, welcoming staff. My husband's Hunters Chicken was a bit dry. Once it was pointed out, they willingly and quickly replaced the whole meal, which was 100% better. Delicious and piping hot. My meal was very nice. We would definitely eat there again.
Staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive and efficient. We were shown to a well placed table for 6, near the window. The food was excellent, was served piping hot and enjoyed by everyone. A varied menu to suit all tastes though slightly on the expensive side ( although, on this occasion, we had a 3
The pub was lovely. The food was excellent. We were on a Narrowboating holiday and this was our final nights stop. The garden was quiet and we had a really good meal. Great vegetarian options and a good selection of drink. Would definitely recommend the Boat House to people.
I tried to roast for the first time and it was lovely. The woman serving the food was really nice. When we arrived we were seated quickly. I booked for 230 online but turned up at 2 and they seated us within 5 minutes. The bar staff were nice and chatty with everyone and one another. The line to get
Excellent service. We dropped in on the off-chance and within 5 minutes were were enjoying a pint and a fantastic roast lunch.
It's a nice pub and food is hit and miss. Sometimes better than others. Same goes with the service, sometimes amazing and other times we can wait half an hour for someone to actually come to the table and take our desert order after they've already cleared the plates. Makes it especially difficult w
Easy to book, quick service and good quality food. It made a nice change to go out for a meal with attentive staff which hasn't always been the case at the Boat House. Always had good food here but now the service on out visit matched up too. Well done and keep it up!
Four of us had a carvery roast, and I can say, hand on heart, it was probably one of the best carveries we have had. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, (no half cooked carrots !) the meat was tender, and also it was all lovely and hot! Sometimes the veg is just warm, but this dinner was as good a
Had a really lovely meal with you on Sunday. Wanted a last minute carvery and you more than provided. Lovely fresh veg and a good selection. Pigs in blankets were gorgeous too!
Very nice staff so so helpful. Nice and warm now the temperature has dropped. Had a very nice meal along with great service.
A little expensive but the food was served hot and was delicious. I'd recommend the beef chilli with chips and apple and cherry pie with custard.
Canal-side pub that manages to retain some local charm despite being owned by a large brewery. Friendly and helpful stuff, a large menu and plenty of outdoor tables, some with a view of the canal. Table service is only available for food inside, but it's no hardship to go and put a good order in at
Extremely pleasant staff who warmly greeted us. Seated with a lovely view of the canal whilst eating our 2 course meal which was most delicious - nicely presented, hot and very tasty! Nothing was too much trouble and staff were very attentive.
I entered the bar for the first time and received a warm welcome I managed to get the lunch menu as it was 16.50 when I first arrived and had the warm Garlic Brushetta with Tomatoe and Balsamic. Followed by the Calamari and fries, washed down with a pint of Hobgoblin and a flat white Coffee, (with a
The Boat House is a great establishment to grab a bite with business associates. Visiting from Canada we truly appreciated the friendly service, welcoming environment and quality food. All of us ordered the Farmer's Chicken and equally enjoyed our meals.
Lovely location by the canal - with open doors onto the terrace. Plenty of room around the place and the toilets were really clean. Can’t really fault anything. Table times were 90mins and bar was unreserved
