Lovely cafe and very friendly staff. Good variety on lunch menu. Doggy friendly and we chose an outside table which was next to the very quaint old railway area.
Nice wee place if your stopping off or looking for a local cafe. Nothing fancy inside but an interesting ex-train station building with a log burning fire on a cold day. The food is really good, cracking cakes and coffees. The staff are really friendly and easy to chat to. Would go back.
What an excellent wee café. Staff friendly. The weather was good so we were offered seating at tables on the platform. Dog friendly!! Scones exceptional. We have been in twice now and will no doubt go back when we are near Brechin. Oh, a visit to the Victorian toilets is a must, even if it is simply to look/admire them.
First visit to The Whistle Stop.... What a gem☺️. It is an old converted railway station, waiting room. The coffee and s
cone was delicious. Lots of home baking and quality lunches available. I look forward to my return.

The Whistle Stop cafe is everything you could want in a cafe - friendly, relaxed atmosphere, amazing cakes, and good coffee! We spent a happy hour here waiting for our train to arrive, and the staff were absolute gems - we can also say with certainty that they are dog friendly, which made our pet very happy too - he got lots of pats and fuss!
All in all, wonderful, and we'd recommend anyone in the area go and check them out!
Brilliant cafe! The staff are friendly, quick service and a great selection and choice of light snacks. Breakfasts, sandwiches, toasties, cakes, coffees, teas, cold drinks etc. A brilliant addition to The Caledonian Railway Group 🙂👍
Lovely cafe & a warm welcome from Wendy and Lorraine. We had a delicious ginger fudge slice and coffee. After a look around Brechin, we went back to Whistle stop cafe and had a lovely lunch - soup and a sandwich. We highly recommend this cafe.
