A nice friendly pub that serves a decent pint and welcomes well behaved dogs with their thirsty owners. Well done, food is also now served. Been coming here since I was in my late teens, even the dog enjoys his visit.
A really nice little pub just next to the train station for easy access. The food is good and the drinks selection is too. The outdoor seating is nice and cozy and lively in the sunshine. The staff were super friendly. Thanks guys.
Came for Sunday lunch. Very reasonably priced and the quality was great. Came here because they did lamb Sunday roasts, allowed dogs and was kid friendly. Will definitely be coming back.
Recently changed hands only reopened for a week or less. Friendly owner, girlfriend and chef. Selection of beer .... funny that for a pub .
Definitely now my local .

Been open for a few weeks now and I go here once or twice a week although last week was more. Coming on in leaps and bounds . Quiz night last week. Live music tonight (i am not there tonight). Family Halloween day soon.
Ate last Sunday ... Sunday lunch was great. Catered for my veggie daughter . You need to ask what's for pudding as there was more than on the menu available

What a lovely atmosphere being created by Mick & Becky new landlord and landlady of The Rising Sun, warm and welcoming, we had beef Sunday lunch which was excellent, all fresh and pudding was delicious will definitely be visiting again.

Went for the first time since the new management and for the quiz night.
Had the best time. Good priced drinks and food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. All round excellent time. Will definitely be going back and probably becoming a regular.
It's also in a perfect location for if you're planning a night out in town, or drinks after a day's shopping.
Can't recommend this pub enough!
Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get and the burgers are fantastic! Staff are polite and helpful.
