The Original Mel's

The waitresses were really sweet & nice here. Very helpful & courteous. Even thought we were in a rush to get to our other destination (which was our own faults 🤦🏽‍♀️) they accommodated us & made our food unexpectedly fast. I was really impressed how many different ways they can make a burger here🍔! And they have a kids menu as well. I ended up getting the Munster burger w/garlic fries🍔🍟. It was a tad on the small side but yummy! Will be back to try all their burgers & tuna sandwiches!

Me and my family came in here. We place our order at 12:13. We didn't get our food at 1:15. They messed up my daughter's order. We order a strawberry waffle. They gave her pancake strawberry pancakes and then messed up my wife's ordered. And the food was cold and wasn't good at all. The service was really slow me and my family are no longer coming here.

Service is poor. It took awhile for our order to be served. One of the server broke a glass next to our table then someone came and help her by sweeping next to our table and it's very annoying because all the dust from sweeping flew on the air and goes to our food. Isn't it it's so unethical to sweep next to people eating? The price is high $11.99 for a burger and fries? You can get $6-7 of delicious, juicy freshly cooked burger and fries at In and Out!

This is my 2nd time going to Mel's Diner. I was not impressed at all. The food was under seasoned, the restaurant extremely cold, and like last time, they have too many flies in the restaurant. The restaurant's temperature was so cold it impacted our dining experience. My daughter even left to sit outside. Our server was friendly, which was good, but the food was not anything special. The Mel's potatoes were tasty, but the eggs had hardly any salt on them (and I'm not one who salts their food before eating/tasting). Also, my son noticed that the mustard container at the table had food on/around it. I looked at it and told him not to touch it. Someone who I thought was the manager did come to the table and ask how things were going, and that was nice. I won't be going back again.
