Salad Maker

Never been in here, It was a little more than what I expected. I went in thinking it was just salad. But they have plenty on the menu, more than just a salad. You'll see this spot when you enter Brentwood shopping on the turnaround. It's a counter serve cafe/restaurant. You can choose one of their salads on the menu or you can create your own, pick your greens then your protein. The way you order is almost like the "chipotle" concept. You choose your items, pay at the end of the counter, choose a table if you can get one. I chose to make my own salad. I had mixed greens, with walnuts, cranberries, bacon, some proteins and topped it off my choice of dressing. It was delicious! The greens were fresh and so were all the toppings. FYI, I ordered a half salad and it was a big plate. Oh did I mention the salad came with a drink? That was a surprise or I just didn't see on the menu. Oh I also ordered Mac and cheese. It was edible, but it looked like it came out of a box. My friend ordered a grilled cheese. Not really presentable on the plate but she enjoyed it and said it was "good" and also came with a drink. Staff were busy, not really helpful with the menu considering it was my first time in here but we figured it out.

Came in for a salad and all the tables were dirty, except for one. (Btw there were at least 3 people working and no customers.) They used the wrong lettuce in our salad. We sat down to eat our salad and the onions were not cut up, they still had the core on them. The salad was not good. We have come in here several times before and never had this experience. I know they have new ownership and I am really hoping this isn't going to be the norm.

Wow bad. Took an eternity! got the order wrong, waited some more, lots of salad stuff looked wilted and messy, forgot my sons Mac n cheese that finally came out after we reminded them he was waiting for 20 min —-and it was just a 1/2 box of Kraft Mac n cheese that they charged me $7.50 for! They took out the soft drink machine and now you can be over charged for a barely chilled can of coke. Another place that crapped out over time.

Great location! Staff was super nice but the salad wasn’t good. I had a Cobb but the chicken was processed chicken or frozen .. it smelled super weird and it was chewy, some of the lettuce was brown and the ranch was not good either. They should try real grilled chicken and not the little frozen pieces that taste like cat food.

After ordering a salad special with chicken and Caesar dressing from Salad Makers and picking it up and arriving home only to find out that the Salad had no chicken or Caesar dressing. Just salad only. It’s pathetic that after repeating myself 2 or 3 times what I wanted from them and only having to drive all the way home to find out that it was nothing like I wanted it. I don’t know what part they didn’t understand because I made myself clear over and over. At the end after having to drive all the way back again to returned the salad to them and for them to only give me my money back and not the taxes and tip I paid for. I will Never go to this place again and it was a big waste of my time. They were Very slow and incoherent to me as a customers. They did not have anything to say for themselves. Very negative place.
