Happy Sushi

sushi was okay, appetizers were the highlight of the meal, and service was a bit slow. we got the mixed tempura, chicken karaage, and beef teriyaki. all three of these dishes were prepared very well and tasted great ! as for sushi rolls, we got the dragon, spider, and warriors roll. there was not enough eel on the dragon roll, the soft shell crab in the spider roll wasn't the best, and the salmon on top of the warriors roll was thin and barely had any sear to it.

We always love getting sushi together 😊🍣, and Kyuzou has become a fav. Consistently good quality, quick turn-around for rolls, and fun flavor combos. We especially love the Rainbow & Dragon rolls, but my kids want anything with tobiko (small fish eggs) on the top! 🤤😋 So much so that this is what my now-9 year old chose again for her actual birthday meal! Service is friendly and prompt, but not at all chatty. Expect to ask a question and get a short (but friendly) concise answer. Can be unnerving if not expected, but on multiple visits have experienced this curtness and realized it's just the way this restaurant is ☺️🤷🏻‍♀️ So we highly recommend this place and do plan to return...at least for my son's birthday in April! By the recommendation of multiple people, I decided to surprise my mom and make reservations for Mother’s Day. We showed up seven minutes late (yes, that was our bad) and the folx at the front desk told us they were too busy to hold our table that long. The wait was going to be 25-45 minutes for the next table. We never received a call stating that the table would be given up. Bummed that this would be my first and only experience at this restaurant. TLDR; less than ten minutes late to reservation, table given up on Mother’s Day.

Had lunch here on a Saturday. Quiet vibe, no reservations needed. Food quality was uneven - mixed tempura was all right, Lion King Roll, Dragon Roll, and Four Seasons Roll were good. But don't order the Kyuzou Roll (no rice, flavorless) and Spider Roll (crab over charred and dry). Most rolls are about $15 each. Not sure I will return given other options in area.
