The food was really lovely and the portion size was more than enough.
The hotel was short staffed that night so the man on reception had to double up as waiter. The poor man had clearly never been a waiter before but he was very friendly so we didn't mind the mistakes.

This is one of our favorite places. The staff are always extremely nice and helpful and the food is of excellent quality.
We go along for the afternoon tea quite regularly but I have to recommend the Sunday roast. Its all so good and the price is very reasonable. Don't go to a standard pub or carvery when a place like this is available.
We really want to try the Friday stake night but its booked up for about a month in advance. That should tell you how good it is!
