Sadly prices have gone up dramatically while quality of food has fallen quite dramatically.
I paid over £11.00 for large cod and chips.
The large is was dry and the chips were mostly bits of over cooked dry bits with about fifteen soggy chips.
Now this place used to be the best around. They claimed some prestigious awards in the past. However my last two experiences well spaced in time have been leading to this review. so it’s not just a one off bad day as far as I’m concerned.
On the plus side the server was very professional and he was well motivated towards me as a customer.
Since writing this review it's improved so. It's back on my list.
Excellent service first class absolutely friendly staff always very perlite and professional best fish and chips in broadlands Bridgend absolutely delicious batter crispy and tasty parking facilities are excellent right outside the premises good portions of food quite good price too highly recommended I can't believe they raised their prices.if it continues I may to top stop using them but there'restill the best fish and chips
This is easily the best fish and chip shop about. Yes, it's on the pricey side but I'd always be happy to pay it because you know you're gonna get a food meal. Fish, chips and Irish curry is the best!
Ordered on the website tonight so easy we are really pleased. Ordered to collect at 7, got to shop at 8.55 our order was already excellent, pies were lovely plenty of chunks of meat, chips lovely too. will definitely do click and collect again
I have found the food excellent. Possibly the reason why some find the service slow is because it is cooked to order. Many/most chip shops simply cook en masse. This leads to poor quality. Another thing I find almost unique, is they always skin the fish. Personally I dislike fish skin, others may obviously disagree.
In fact, I have found the quality so good, I go out of my way if I want fish and chips. This means travelling around 30+ miles for the round trip.
Brilliant fish and chips, always cooked to perfection. I'm not sure where all the negative reviews have come from - this place has never let me down. The service provided and overall quality of the food far exceeds any other fish & chippie. Lastly, there is no grease! 5 stars.
Had the fish and chips which were really fresh and not to much batter. Irish curry sauce was lovely. Definitely recommend 👌

Well what can I say say amazing place free parking outside take cash card and beer tokens if you had them laugh out loud well mannered staff been coming here for years and we'll continue coming here best fish and chips in Bridgend
We picked the right night for a stroll on the beach with some fish and chips. Tuesdays deal is 2 small fish and chips! Very nice and perfect amount.
After a recent poor experience when my order was misplaced and I was left waiting for an age. I left and thought I would not return but having gone back the same manager was on shift and I must say that Lisa's customer service was brilliant she apologised for the previous mishap and was extremely helpful. I left as a happy customer 👍👍👍

Wonderful food but a bit pricey. Very good for an (occasional) treat. Good parking available (free) and the staff were very helpful too.
