For me one of the best places in town to drink . A bit of a hidden gem . Good mix of beers . And a huge selection of shorts . Good music and they have live bands outside in the summer . A must on your night out in town
Best pub I've been too with a great guy Tom, holding the reins. It's so comfy and nice and the range of Gins is incredible.
Wow. Just had the best takeaway pizza EVER! Definitely recommend the Friar Tuck In on a spicy BBQ base. Amazing
Peroni in the sun. Fantastic. As always well looked after by Tom.
Had a great night at The Friars Wednesday night. Great bunch of people in there. Laughed for hours.

Always bring family and friends to this bar , quirky and enjoyable, loads of great drinks.
Lovely pub.... great selection of spirits as well (especially for gin lovers). Carla the barmaid was brilliant and made us feel really welcome. Well worth a visit xxxx
Lovely place, great bar staff, great company.. What else can I say.
Exceptional service, well presented with a lovely atmosphere, friendly people and the best food we've had in ages.favourite Inn in shropshire, will be back.
Great real ales and loads of gins great place!
Absolutely love it fabulous selection of gins and wonderful friendly atmosphere... Keep up the good work James we love it
Lovely pub good ale and a warm welcome. Wish I lived closer it would definitely be my local
Lovely place great 4 poster bed n food was top draw n so was the people. Great stay ...
Room was clean and comfortable but was quite cold. There was also a lot of noise from the street outside but you couldn't hear the pub itself. The shower was amazing - very very powerful and no problems with hot water.
The drink selection is great in the pub - especially if you like gin.
Went in on boxing day for a birthday drink best gin cocktail next time I'm up there will definitely go back
My 16 year old daughter & I bought a coffee and soft drink Friday afternoon and sat outside in the sunshine. The drinks were a welcome relief and the gent that served us was very friendly and polite. The courtyard was tastefully equipt with comfortable, clean seating and tables - along with window boxes and lighting (I imagine very pleasant when the sun dips). The inside of the building - including the toilet facilities - was spotless and tastefully decorated. I would highly recommend.
Nice pub. Bar man was good to talk to.
Beautiful outdoor area and a quaint traditional style pub. Had a fantastic Saturday night sitting in the pretty yard watching the rock band Crimson Child. Relaxed atmosphere, yet some got up and danced. Very enjoyable 😊
The Local for 3 year now, probably The Local for all time. Above average value on an EXTENSIVE range of good quality beverages (and crisps and nuts). The TV room is small but a good feature if you're lucky enough to get in there for matchday. The two large booths are comfortable and accommodate large groups (as soon as they're allowed again). A massive outside sitting area is grand for summer nights. The decor is both tasteful and hilarious. The barstaff are all super friendly and helpful even given how much extra pressure put on them (they deserve a pay rise!). Highly highly recommended especially to treat yourself for a spot of daytime drinking
We booked here fairly last minute and still got a decent price with the optional added extra of a bottle of fizz. I was very happy to see the staff fulfilled my request of a personalised note for my partner. It did make us giggle.
The bed was very comfortable however the main light bulb didn't work but instead we had plenty of lamps to play with so we weren't in darkness.
If it wasn't for covid forcing places to close at 10pm I can imagine it being much louder as you are right next to the high street but this was also good for us as there were a great selection of pubs to choose from. Just make sure you book in advance especially during the pandemic, we were very lucky to have booked a table at The Woodberry Inn which we would highly recommend, it's a 15 minute walk away from The Friars which unfortunately wasn't serving food at the time of our visit.
There are also plenty of scenic walks despite being close to the main high street.
In general Bridgnorth is a beautiful place.
Only improvements would be to provide a smaller kettle to fit under the bathroom sink properly, fix the lighting, provide better plug sockets so that you can have full use of them to charge your phone by the bed as they are very tightly fitted by the skirting board and the option of spoons instead of the wooden stirrers would have been preferred but that may have been difficult with covid.
The actual Inn itself was very pleasant, we enjoyed the Dead Man's Fingers pineapple rum and it had a lovely atmosphere in general. Thank you for a lovely stay, we'll see you again in the future.
I only use this as a pub. Quality food and wide range of drinks (especially if you like Gin) attract a discerning crowd, especially late afternoons at the weekend. Can get a bit rowdy towards closing time, but its all good fun, never any trouble, and never a bad meal
The Friars is a lovely pub in Bridgnorth, offering both inside and outside seating. There is a good selection of drinks. From real ale, to gin. It needs to be noted though that the gin selection is a little pricy in comparison to other pubs in the town. Although the atmosphere makes up for this.
A brilliant small pub for a drink if you're passing. They don't serve food but have plenty of snacks and often sell fresh rolls if you're hungry. The friars is actually quite hidden away so it's easy to miss, but well worth a visit if you're passing.
Great little place tucked away. Polite staff ,good selection of gins ,fresh coffee also. Will visit again.
Lovely little pub tucked away or should I say friar tucked away 😉 lots of speciality gins and nice warm welcome. Worth a visit
A small pub with a long list of drinks especially gin which seems to be their speciality. Friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Worth a visit.
Great to be back at this charming Lovely small Pub/Restaurant/Bed and Breakfast. I was born in Bridgenorth and when In my late Teen's to mid Tewentys use to use this Excellent Pub Pub e.t.c 20 years ago I know. But will be visiting The Friars Inn Within a couple of Months Defo. Great for Relaxing Environment for a Hot FreshCuppa or a bite to eat. Well by the Reviews that's on there site then it's still the same all these years later. I'll keep you peeps informed. Sound
