Went for lunch as a party of 10 whilst visiting family. Quite a long wait for starters but it was bank holiday Monday so quite busy. Can’t grumble about the food. Everything we ordered came out together, the food was hot and my steak was cooked to perfection. Kids enjoyed their Sundaes and they were humongous! Thank you � x
Went to armytage arms as a last minute thing and was pleasantly surprised and glad to have dined there. The food was lovely and was served within 10 mins of ordering and was delicious cos in the past we have waited around 45mins. No faults with the staffs customer service and would definitely continue to dine here. Also liking the new place after refurbishment with more comfort with seating.
Yet another great visit. We love our local pub. The staff are lovely, the service is fab & the food is always top notch too. Great value for money & we Highly recommend! The dog loves to come with us too & he always gets fussed. The best pub about.

The food could be better - peas and chips didn’t seem freshly cooked. Also, it would be better if the staff prompt for the loyalty stamp before taking payment as it can’t be done afterwards.
Our second visit in the last six months because we enjoyed our first visit in May. The food was very nice, although we did expect to have more than the two, basic, vegetables to accompany the meat - even half a tomato would have been acceptable. The staff were efficient, surroundings are nice, clean and well set out.
We visit quite often and every time without fail the staff are welcoming, friendly, helpful and overall just lovely. Food is always spot on. Great value for money. Definitely my children's fave place to go for food (and it's very rare all of them agree on the same place). Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed
Greeted at the door by a pleasant polite friendly lady staff member and taken to our table at which she pulled out chairs for us which I thought was a nice touch! We ordered at the bar and had a short but acceptable wait before another friendly efficient staff member took our order, we had a slightly longer than usual wait for the food but you were quite busy ! The food was very nice, perfectly cooked and very tasty ! Our only ( very slight ) complaint was Kate’s sizzling salmon dish ( she loved it ) didn’t seem to have as many vegetables as usual ? Otherwise very happy and satisfied and the 40% off the food was an added bonus ! We are happy repeat customers ! Mxx
We were a group of 5 . Four adults and a child. Everything was just fabulous from beginning to end. A lovely friendly greeting. A smashing table position. The food was excellent. Your staff are first class. Attentive, warm, friendly and a nice sense of humour. We really enjoyed it. The prices were very good too. Thank you very much Armytage arms....you should be proud of yourselves.
Staff are really lovely! Service was amazing and the manager was really accommodating. Celebrated a birthday here and can't fault service. Food was nice :)
Would be nice to have more vegan options on menu, but I believe this is probably down to the chain not this individual pub.
I had the vegan burger though and it was good!
Very friendly welcome. Excellent menu choice. Mixed grill was perfectly cooked. Chicken fajitas equally good. Great service - tasty food. Lovely environment
Wow honestly we have visited this place a few times over the years and My oh my the food was just Devine and for the price deals you just can’t complain . The place was open n clean also relaxed feel a few workmen near the bar but it’s good to have that open feel aswell . The bar staff were very polite also freindly they couldn’t do enough for us so we had 3 meals also decided to stop for desert which was just icing on the cake for a pre birthday meal I would highly recommend
