OMG! The Korean wings were AMAZING, the plain wings tasted like KFC and Portion sizes were massive. Whole happy family, burgers and wings for the boys and the baby ate half a tub of really tasty mac and 'cheese'. Great customer service too, they prioritised the kids chips and burger as they were getting a little Hangry! 😆 sorry I didn't get pictures before everyone dug in, so all the pics are half eaten!

Wonderful friendly helpful staff! Who totally put up with my indecisive I don’t know what I want situation :)
Amazing food! The seitan chicken cashew Mac 😉😉n cheese was the ONE…. Lew had the really sticky burger with “black sesame seeds and Korean bbq sauce with apple slaw! F****ng great ! Real zingy”
We could have had some amazing looking deserts but after breakfast at the green kitchen we didn’t feel worthy 😂😂😂
DAPPA milkshakes from Monday! I got a sneak preview shake! SO LICKY… Timings a beaut

I love this place, food is delicious and simply vegan! The bbq patty is superb but I enjoied also the bacon-not-bacon with a slight smoky flavor. The chips arrived crispy, so happy about that. The browny is amazing, taste like it should, chocolaty! And I love the staff writing cute messages on the paper bag with such attention. I also recommend trying Really good juice for more delicious vegan toasts and, of course, juices!

My wife and I visited Brighton specifically to visit here and we were not disappointed.
The choice was incredible - making sure we visit again to enjoy more of the menu.
My wife enjoyed her burger, especially the sauce and coating, however the texture of the seitan was not to her liking.
Both the carbonara and Mac n Cheese were extremely tasty and filling. I added extra bacon to my Mac n Cheese and I'm glad I did.
The coating on the 'chicken' was crunchy and flavoursome. If you're into spice, go for the Buffalo wings! They are hot with a warmth that keeps coming.
I cannot wait until we visit again!

The Vegan Mac and cheese was 5*! The best vegan mac I’ve ever had!!!!! We were blown away!!! Loved the popcorn chickn and the chickn pieces too! Sooo tasty; seasoned so well, not greasy and an excellent meat alternate! Also use earth friendly packaging 💜

Loved the food. Definitely some of the best vegan food in Brighton! The Mac and cheese was amazing and loved that the seitan burger looked like a smile from the side 😁 you definitely have to visit if you’re in Brighton!

Many people have recommended me this place and it was a very good decision to go there while staying in Brighton. The food is so insanely fresh and tasty plus the staff so lovely and caring! Can absolutely recommend the Korean Sticky Wings, Biscoff Shake and the Really Simple Burger. My boyfriend was impressed too! 💜

Went here last year in August. Ordered the tenders and the chicken burger which had hash brown and piled high with other bits and pieces. Super yummy and flavourful. Had a lotus biscoff milkshake which was mouthwatering too. Amazing food, ignore the other reviews here!

Very good service and the best vegan chicken ever! There is a small lip up into the restaurant and a tight doorway- if you use a mobility scooter or power chair you might find it a struggle to get in. Staff seem lovely ♡

Great vegan food! The vegan sticky wings were amazingly good!
The loo were not working so had to sneak to Waterstones across the road.
Loved the rustic vibes but thought that the paper bag deco could be lower so we can admire them better... at the time we visited, the paperbags were behind the lampshade...

It was great to find a 100 percent vegan restaurant with vegan ethical messages on walls. My son enjoyed the crispy food, I think it's probably a bit like a vegan version of KFC. The young man serving us was outreached by my 9 year old son who asked him if he is vegan, but the man said he loves cheese too much to go vegan and doesn't like flavour of vegan cheese, so my son asked him 'why don't you quit cheese then as the calves are killed after being taken from mummy'. It was a bit empty this time. Normally you want to see lots of vegans feeling happy to support a vegan outlet. I don't even like the taste of chicken or meat..or dairy or its substitutes, I prefer the taste of vegetables but I only went to support a vegan brand. Wish more people come in and give it a go, especially non vegans. Why harm chicken or cows when you can Go Vegan?

My favourite vegan takeaway. I don’t know what they put in to the mac and cheese, but I am hooked on the the carbonara mac. Lovely staff and great service. I could eat this every day, but I would sadly soon need a new door.

Absolutely amazing. We are visiting from London and I knew we HAD to try this. The food is out of this world, my boyfriend eats meat and he LOVED it. If I could try it all I would. The portions are so good. Staff friendly and really good at recommending food.
I will be coming back to Brighton just to eat there again !!

Great place staffed by very friendly staff. The food was great and well priced and some of the best chips I've had in a very long time - crispy, not too oily and light. Big portion chips too!

Bloody delicious!
Better than Temple of Seitan, which is a huge deal. The chkn wrap and Mac n cheese were to die for, could have eaten everything on the menu
The cakes looked INCREDIBLE too, wish I'd got a slice. Please come up to Scotland, Edinburgh/Dundee/Dunfermline are missing just this 🙏

Befries is such a cool idea and a fun place to go!
Basically the only thing they serve is really delicious Belgian fries. They are potato-y, crispy, a good size, and a nice consistency, as well as a great overall flavor.
On their own, the fries/chips are super good... but what makes them even better is all of the different dipping sauces that are available to go with them. The sauce options are really unique and all of the ones I've tried were awesome! I also love that there are tons of different sauces to choose from! Also I think they switch out the sauces now and then which also makes it kind of interesting.
The place is pretty small so sometimes the wait is a little while and it can get crowded, but it's totally worth it. It seems like most people order to-go, but eating there is much more fun. Plus, if you stay there to eat, you'll be able to sample/order more of the sauces rather than just one or two.
I do wish that they had something other than fries, since fries alone aren't really a meal, but I guess that's one reason they are unique. I believe they have different sizes to choose from though, so depending on how big you go it could probably fill you up like a normal full meal would.
Also, the staff is very nice, friendly, and helpful.
Befries is kind of just an all-around great place.

Being a big fan of chips, I just had to try this place out. When my husband and I arrived, we were immediately greeted by a very friendly member of staff. We were soon informed of portions sizes and what sauces were available. We opted for medium portions of chips and several different sauces - sate, frites sauce, garlic mayonnaise, dill & mustard mayonnaise and a few others.
We took a seat and very soon after we were brought our food. We were told that if we ran out of any of the sauces to let them know so that they could top us up. I must say that the chips are really very nice indeed. They have just the right ratio of fluffiness to crispness. The sauces are what really make it though - they are absolutely delicious. The sate sauce is particularly nice - so nice that we had to have seconds.
The slight downsides are that the only drinks that they have available are bottles that you can buy from a cabinet by the front door which I feel cheapens it a little. Additionally, they could do with a little more seating.

I was visiting from the US and stumbled into the restaurant by chance. I can't remember having fries this good. I decided to have one or two on the road and they were gone by the time I got back to my hotel.

Befries has recently opened at the top of West street and it's a great little addition to the city. This is a no nonsense chippy where all you get are chips and wow are the chips good.
Stopped here for a quick little pit stop after spending some time in the city centre and fell in love straight away, the staff greeted us with a genuine smile and the person taking our order took us through the menu of sauces and explained the sizing for the chips, small is for a snack, a medium is a good size and large is for those who are really hungry. Both my wife and I opted for a medium however on reflection we should have gone for a large each, we under estimated our own hunger! That isn't knocking the portion size, we were just really hungry!
The chips are fried twice and they are soooo good. Extra crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy in the inside. The perfect chip!!
There are several choices of sauces to smother your chips with, and if you dine within the restaurant you can have as many sauces as you want with free refills. Between the two of us we opted for the Belgian mayonnaise as it was essential for eating Belgian fries, the frites sauce (a lighter mayonnaise with something amazing within it) Sate (satay for those of us who aren't Belgian) the Sambal which has a nice kick to it and also the limited edition mayo and dill pickle (similar to the Big Mac sauce but nicer) I have to say each sauce was amazing but the all out winner has to be the Sate!! Do want to go back and try more of the sauces though!!
There are only a few negatives, the first being a lack of seating, however I think the restaurant are addressing this as I overheard one of the staff say to another customer they are ordering in more seating. I don't think they expected so many people to want to sit in and eat food that is predominantly a take away eat as you walk thing.
The next small negative was there were limited range of drinks and they all seemed a bit too expensive.
Finally, as we were leaving we noticed a potential disabled customer attempting to get into the restaurant however there was no ramp for her wheelchair to go over so they just had to look on from the outside.
