Lovely cosy little pub/restaurant with a nice selection of ales and lagers as well as wines and spirits. The food is outstanding, a cut above your usual pub grub but there was still a steak, a burger and fish and chips on offer. Lovely friendly staff and well worth a seeking out if you want a top notch meal and a nice pint to wash it down with.
What a lovely place. Warm welcome, amazing food choices and incredible flavours. On a soggy, wet day it was the perfect place to catch up with family, enjoying great food. Thank you.
A great bar/tap room which is a nice distance from the seafront and well worth the uphill trip which takes about 15 minutes. You feel like you deserve a pint by doing that!
On a sunny day the outside front area is very pleasant, although it can get quite busy quite quickly. The beer selection was excellent too and well priced. The Bohemia lager was very good and you could spend weeks getting through all they have on tap or in the fridge.
The service was friendly too. Would pop by again if in the area.
Very good visit! Drinks were awesome. Just be ready for a bit of a hike up the hill to find this wonderful craft beer place! But its worth it!

Came here recently and had nothing short of a great time. Had a wide range of beers to choose from and the bartender was really friendly and talkative. The vibe was really welcoming and cosy. We only planned to stay for one drink but ended up staying for a few hours. possibly my new favorite pub in Brighton. Can't comment on the food however but i would definity recommend this place to anyone.
Fantastic beer and cider selection. Always great keg and cask options and fridges packed full of cans and bottles. Wine and spirits are also available. Toad table in the back as well as a micro brewery upstairs too. Top pub.
I placed an online order to have a crate of beer delivered as a gift. I immediately got a very nice text message from Matt confirming the delivery time, and it was delivered right on time as promised. We popped in on a whim for a Monday evening treat. As a group of 4 we were really happy to get a table. The staff had a very clear understanding of Gluten Free options on the menu, which was a key criteria for eating here. We were plesently surprised that there were 4 GF options on the mains, as I understand they cook a lot with Rice Flour. The meals were all excellent, however the only minor let down were the starters - A little underwhelming and some a little over priced. Hey ho. All in all though, a really good find.
Nice pub with a superb selection of beers and wines both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The frog-hole game is fun too!
I came here for lunch with friends one Friday. We were the only people on there as we got there early but they staff were very friendly and chatty to us. We all opted for starters and mains and although they did not have my first choice they still had some great food available and it was cooked and presented well. I have been here in a previous incarnation of it but this was my first visit since it had changed. I no longer live in this area but would definitely visit more often if I did.
First time visiting on New Years Day. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Very pleasant staff. Food delicious. We ordered roast chicken. Didn’t have to wait very long and was just right to help us recover from the night before! Delightful interior and tastefully decorated. The place has a nice layout and will certainly be returning!
