Giulia is incredible!! Her cocktails were absolutely to die for and I will definitely be back again. I wish I could spend all day just staring into her beautiful ocean eyes whilst she creates an explosion of flavours for my mouth.
Nice pub, but needs a better selection of beers. Food was lovely but gave it a 3 because of the price, nice but a bit overpriced. Service was good. Would recommend as long as your not worried about paying for good food.Dont believe the review about LBGTQ people not being welcomed. That is a complete

Lovely staff, great atmosphere and very decent food! In the evening when the DJ is on its such a great vibe too, perfect mix of party and chill pub! Also love the outdoor area and really respect that both the smoking and non smoking sections are nicely decorated. Great place.
Lovely staff, lovely beer garden for chilling out and smoking with drinks. I respect the fact that they have a non-smoking area as well as a decent smoking area. Good music to dance to and a lovely little spot for dancing. Love the photo booth!
Nachos here are delicious!!!! It was such a pleasant surprise as we were super hungry and just picked a pub at random, but both are meals were epic. The burger was so juice it dropped (yum!) and the nachos were everything you want in a nachos honestly. Would try again if I was in Brighton!

My husband and I came here for the vegan Sunday roast. We had the filo parcel & nut roast and both were delicious. The only disappointment was the potatoes which were dry and a bit tasteless :( but the gravy alone is worth a visit. And the portions are HUGE - we went without dinner tonight!

What a GREAT Sunday roast. Every element of it was delicious. It was a nice sunny day so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Great selection of drinks too!
The Black Lion! What can I say!? Amazing! A wonderful venue that gives you space to enjoy yourself. Giulia's cocktails are to die for! I love the Japanese Slipper cocktail the most.

A tale of two nights - went there on a Friday night in October and it was really good, great atmosphere and friendly vibes. I went back on the Saturday and it wasn't as good and the crowd was very off and so was the DJ.
When the whole street is named after your pub you know you’re doing something right. The quality food sign up front lives up to its promise. The views are great and they do have a Biergarten at the back too.

Bar was rocking thanks to live band🎤🥁 belting out the covers & crowd dancing, good selection of drinks served by friendly bar team. Outside seated booths at back made chats audioable & drinkin more relaxed.
Best pub in town! Really enjoyed the service. Get very busy at night so a really nice place for a party night!
