Great coffee and nice staff, what more can you want for! Oh, and my first vegan experience of a vegan frittata was most excellent.
*edit* and no complaining about the children eating an ice cream from another place while we were seated outside. Trust me, it happens.
The Plant Room is my favourite go to coffee place in Brighton. It is in Brighton Square and on sunny days sitting by the fountain drinking excellent coffee is such a treat. I pop in to escape the generic places and it has a great personality all of its own. Lots of vegan cakes and pasties as well as some vegetarian or gluten free cakes as well. All served with a smile. Loyalty cards also available and the great Edited next door full of all those great ideas and gifts. Try it and I am sure you will love it.
Popped in while away with friends on recommendation from my brother who praised the vegan options. So glad I did, ended up going in multiple times during my stay in Brighton! The cafe in the lanes is so cute and comfy, the atmosphere is brilliant and everyone who served us was incredibly friendly and attentive. The coffee was amazing and genuinely probably the best oat cappuccino I've ever had- the coffee blend itself was so nice I bought a bag to take home but the milk was also steamed perfectly! We had two meals there and each of us really enjoyed what we had. I'm already dreaming about going back and having the full breakfast again, the pesto was divine!
A delicious vegan breakfast! The seating outside is great on a sunny day, and the inside also has good vibes. Good to meet up with a friend and have some reliably good food.
Cool looking decor, very friendly staff and quite possibly the best tasting brunch I have ever had!! That chorizo eggs benny (and the vegetarian one too) is something special.
Lovely spacious cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly staff. Great oat milk coffees and cake.

Cherry on the cake with this place isn't the food or the amazing location, or the great vibe or even the iced mokka - for me, the guys running the place are some of the nicest staff that I've ever come across.
I'm sad that I was just passing through - it's cute places like this that really make a city and I'm certainly planning to swing by the next time I'm in Brighton!
Really nice small and intimate café down The Lanes. You can't miss it as it has a large purple mural on the side of the building. The interior is small, but nicely decorated with records and neon signs and the toilet was very clean.
The food and drink was varied, with lots of herbal teas and plant milk options (not inc. soy). Also, when we asked which sweet treats were vegan it was about two thirds of the shelf, which is an impressive range.
We had a slice of bannoffee cake each, which was moist, light and not too sickly sweet. We also shared an almond chocolate chip cookie, which was thick and chewy.
Overall, a very pleasant environment and the staff were friendly. Drinks were high quality, especially the coffee which is roasted locally. Would definitely recommend.

Ticked all the boxes - highly recommend the breakfast burrito. Food was served piping hot and fresh, tasted great too.. what more could you ask for! Great vibes, friendly happy staff and delicious coffee. Can’t wait to go back :)
Veggie breakfast + slice of cake. It was amazing, best English breakfast I can remember! The cake was fantastic as well.
