Big Sunday roast, great taste. Didn't need to ask for extra gravy which is a first. Extremely salty Yorkshire pudding which I'd say 9/10 ppl would call out as bad but I liked it. Service was a bit meh, stood to wait by the bar then another older man came in after and got served before us. I guess we all live in a man's world. The vegetarian Wellington was ok but wanted more mushrooms and less pumpkin because it was like eating the trimmings x2. Same same. I like a meaty alternative. Impossible to find in the world of Roasts. Hmm. But yeah overall lovely, the guy with the knee brace was a nice lad .

Had a wonderful lunch here today. The food was amazing, hot when it arrived and absolutely delicious! Beyond expectation. The staff were friendly. Lovely seating out the front in the sunshine (up until about 3pm). Good selection of ales, beers and wines. Perfect find amongst the chaotic lanes!

Oh, The Cricketers pub in Brighton England - what a place! This historic gem has been around since 1547, so you know it's gotta be good. And let me tell you, it doesn't disappoint! First off, let's talk about the atmosphere. The Cricketers pub is like stepping back in time, with its old-school charm and cozy vibes. The low ceilings, wooden beams, and vintage decor make you feel like you're in a Harry Potter movie (in a good way, of course). And the staff? They're like your favorite Hogwarts professors, but with better accents. But let's not forget about the most important part - the drinks! The Cricketers pub has an impressive selection of beers, ales, and ciders to choose from. Whether you're a fan of something light and fruity or dark and hoppy, they've got you covered. And don't even get me started on the cocktails - they're like magic potions that transport you to a whole new level of happiness. But what's a good drink without some delicious food to go with it? The Cricketers pub has you covered there too. From classic pub grub like fish and chips and bangers and mash to more gourmet options like roasted pork belly and duck breast, there's something for everyone. And let's not forget about the desserts - the sticky toffee pudding is to die for! Overall, The Cricketers pub is a must-visit for anyone looking for a bit of old-school charm and delicious drinks and food. It's like a time machine that takes you back to the 16th century, but with better drinks and food. So grab your friends, your family, or your favorite Hogwarts professor and head on over to the Cricketers pub. You won't be disappointed!

This feels and looks like a traditional English pub. If this is what you want to experience, it is well worth visiting. Personally, I feel that charging £7.15 for a pint is excessive, but I understand that this is probably outside of the control of the landlord/lady. Nevertheless, the pint I had was very nice. I didn't try the food, so I can't comment on it Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would recommend that visitors come here to enjoy the ambience and look of the place.

Staff very friendly, food was a bit cold but they were busy. When we said it had been cold they gave us a free desert when they didn't need to as we had eaten our meals so thank-you very much super customer service. We will be back again. 5 STARS Highly recommend a visit.

Claims to be the oldest pub in Brighton, which is in the South lanes area. Inside it's cosy and unique with old fashioned styling, definitely worth a look, load's of outside seating (too cold for us to sit outside). Inside there is a bar with a dining area round the back of the bar, which looked spacious. The ale I had was okay! So the question is would I go back probably not.

Amazing pub in the middle of old Brighton! Oldest pub in Brighton too. Great feel and ambiance inside and out. Only been here for drinks but love it & will return. See a lot of people enjoying their food too.

Fish n chips, beer braised pork belly, both scrumptious! Good bottle of Shiraz washed it all down. Well, most of my belly anyway, just too much! Ate in the courtyard so not fantastic atmosphere. Would go again most certainly.

It’s my first time visiting The Cricketers since it was refurbished. Personally, I like the old look, there’s character… Although, the new look is modern and spacious. The service is great! It’s quite expensive. We ordered an orange juice, ginger beer, cider and beer; tortilla chips and burgers. There should be an option for the tortilla dip aside from Hummus. Because my friend didn’t really enjoyed the hummus in the end. I’m not a fan of the music selection. I heard that Sunday roast is really good. We will be back for that.

This place, one of the city's most renowned bars, boasts beautiful interior design and an extensive menu. Prices are moderate. Considering the rather high average customer age, it should be chosen accordingly.

The service in here is quick and good. They have a nice selection of drinks and food is amazing. We had a mixup with the food order as we were served someone else food by mistake. It was quickly sorted out though.
