I love Yo sushi and this is the nicest one I have been to! The lady (not sure of her name) went above and beyond, she was so helpful to me with my broken leg. Highly recommend to all xx
Smashing. Can’t fault it. Perfect for lunch or a meal out. Even better when they have the £2.80 a plate promo. Cracking.
I think it's a little pricey.
But that's because I am greedy and when I eat out, I want both quality and quantity.
People who own 15inch plates eat 30% more in calories than everyone else.
So the cute little dishes at Yo Sushi have their benefits.
The plates here are too smart and colourful though.
They mislead you.
Before you know it, you're staring lazy eyed at a tower of dishes in front of you.
As you try and calculate your total bill, you give up. This is not the time for maths.
But is it the time for chewy, chocolatey doughy Japenese rice deserts?
No, it's never time for them.
I came here a couple of months ago, and I got the avocado maki (without mayo, as mayo is disgusting) and the edamame (without onions, because onions are also disgusting), and both were great, especially the sushi. The avocado tasted so good and the texture was good- it wasn't overly soft or chewy. The edamame beans were very salty, which I like but if you don't like very salty food then you'd probably want to ask for it without salt. For dessert, I don't remember the exact name of what I ordered but it was basically these chocolate rice ball things, which taste amazing. At first I wasn't sure I liked them but after having them a couple more times after, I've come to really love them. Overall I highly recommend coming here if you like sushi. If you don't like sushi, however, then probably avoid, as this is a sushi restaurant after all.
I love Yo Sushi. I really really do!
Especially on Blue Mondays, where all the plates are super cheap!
My favourites are they Duck gyoza and the chicken katsu curry. Delightful little bowls of goodness.
The food is always fresh and delicious, and the staff are always nice too.
I need to go to Yo Sushi more.
Favourites:
Avocado Roll
Seaweed Salad

Pumpkin Korroke

I've brought people from Canada whenever they come over and even though there are better sushi places (for quality fish) you can't NOT have a good time and NOT be super satisfied/stuffed when you leave. Hence why I have been here... well, I won't say how many times actually. Shhhh.

Ever since I saw the movie Johnny English, I had been slightly put-off by conveyor belt sushi restaurants but, several years ago, when I first stepped into Yo Sushi, all my fears quickly disappeared.
I know it's a big chain and there are plenty of other great independent sushi places around Brighton, but I just can't help but love this place. It's so much fun to eat here and I have enjoyed myself each time, without fail. They have a very formulaic system which ultimately works very well.
The pricing system is easy and effective - with each dish displayed on a different coloured place and each colour indicating which price bracket it falls into. This is great because it means you're very much in control of what you're spending and you can calculate the price of your meal out really easily. That being said, it's very easy to wrack up a gigantic bill in here! You can easily get caught up in the fun and forget!
The sushi is great! It's freshly made and it tastes delicious. They have loads of different options to try so there's pretty much something for everyone. They have sashimi and sushi along with great salad dishes and hot mains that can be ordered off the menu.
The staff in this Yo Sushi are particularly friendly, as well, which is great! Whether serving you at your table or helping you with a take-away, they're always very polite and smiley.
It may lack the charm and authenticity of other independent sushi places, but Yo Sushi just works for me! It's a great, easy spot to drop in and grab some comsistently tasty sushi at a reasonable price. I'll be back, no doubt!
Best of Brighton Challenge: Week 4 My favourite Brighton spot. Well for me it has to be Yo Sushi. I absolutely love sushi and their prices are reasonable. They also offer 'blue Mondays' which is great for me as I feel I have to go for it. The booth seats are great for groups of around 6 or you can sit 'right by the tracks' if there is only 2 of you. Another thing I love is that being a fish lover and knowing my partner isn't, we can still go there as they offer some wonderful vegetable, chicken and beef dishes. Win win!
Californian Roll
Pumpkin Korroke
Salmon Terriyaki
Vegetable Firecracker Rice
Miso Black Cod
Just remembering eating at Yo Sushi makes my mouth water. As well as offering a vast selection of fresh and wholesome nigiri, sashimi, maki and nori handwrapped, sushi - you can get noodles, rice, raw and cooked tuna, salmon, prawns, chicken and veggies.
All the dishes are priced according to the colour of the plate they're served on - so if you're on a budget, make sure you glance at the plate before you swoop it off the conveyor belt! At £1.70 and £2.20 respectively, the green and blue plates are the cheapest and the pink and grey are the most pricey at £3.50 and £5.00. The lay-out of this particular branch means all the seats are positioned around the kitchen - so you get to see the chefs prepare, cook and add new dishes to the conveyor belt.
They also serve damn good, miso soup.
Passed the sushi school yesterday! Great food, great fun, knowledgeable and friendly staff and don’t worry about going alone as I did and had the best time! Highly recommend
Me and my husband always love to visit Yo! Sushi. We did Sushi workshop 3 years ago and was unforgettable as the staff were fantastic and the give us a lot of food after. We visited Yo! Sushi yesterday before the match between 🇲🇦 and 🇵🇹 and after. We tried different plates as the menu has so much variety. The food is always fresh and lovely. My new favourite being the Inari tacos.
My son and I went for the Sushi School and highly recommend! Nina was so knowledgeable and skilled and my son was completely focused on what she was teaching us. The food was lovely and the set up worked really well. Definitely going back to try all the things we saw on the menu!!
Situated on Jubilee street this small Yo was not very busy for a Saturday teatime at all. The service was quick and efficient with helpful staff members. Not a lot on the belt at all. We only chose the one dish and didn't feel as fresh as those we placed to order.
super tasty food, reasonable price and come out quickly. small portions, but to be expected with sushi. lots of vegan and vegetarian options too.
Yo! is a really easy place to eat, pick what you want from the conveyor belt, order hot food and drinks from the menu, press the button for attention.
East as much or as little as you like.
It is also the sort of place when you sure at the belt which you feel as comfortable dining as alone, as you do with a group.
You can also eat as fast or slow, as little as much as your appetite and budget can afford.
If you have never been to a sushi place before this is the least intimidating experience you will have and the staff are very helpful, polite and knowledgeable.
You can even just pick of the food you like the look of without even knowing it's name out how to correctly pronounce it!
Great service from them every time we go there.
Food is delicious and prepared right in front of you, would highly recommend as a quick and easy option that will be great every time.
The food was delicious, but portion sizes were smaller than expected. Staff seemed slightly unorganised and kept giving awkward looks. Good student discount though.
Me and my boyfriend always love to visit Yo Sushi when we visit Brighton. It has so much variety and you can fill yourself up with just a few plates. The food is always fresh and lovely. I am a vegan and they have a lot of options, my new favourite being the Inari temaki handroll, and the Inari tacos 😋
Well! It was really nice and we managed 10 places each!! It was Monday 50% off promotion on blue dish. If it normal price i wont choose to go there though.
