We decided to go here for my mums partner peters 60th birthday all very nice surroundings nicely decorated. All you can eat for £16.80 lovely food I had the crispy pancakes for starter and Thai red curry which was really tasty not too hot and not too mild . Because it was all you can eat every one was sharing theirs which was nice lovely. The tempura vegetables and prawns and chicken were yummy too. You have to book well in advance to avoid disappointment . They even brought out a birthday cake ( which we supplied ) and played happy birthday overall 10/10 I would recommend it p.s. Next time I'm going to try the deep fried ice cream
First off, its not just a Thai restaurant. They offer Thai, Japanese, Peking and Malaysian cuisine something for everyone. Before we went we had read a few negative reviews, making us a bit nervous. We need not have worried! Food excellent. Both in quality and quantity. Served fresh and hot. Can highly recommend the salt and pepper squid!! Staff lovely. Friendly, helpful and attentive, but not overly so. Made an effort with the two children in our party of eight. Can't wait to go back!
Surprisingly, this is a very good buffet restaurant, plenty of choices to choose from. Starters and desserts are best here, some unique and tasty Thai and Malaysian dishes that you won't find elsewhere.
Services were polite and super quick, food were prepared and cooked per order.
Definitely 1 of the best All You Can Eat Restaurant.
Highly recommended and will visit again.
Over the many years of eating at the Thai Elephant the food has always been great, and still is. The service was excellent and once you've ordered the food arrives quickly.
The only disappointment was that they don't currently sell alcohol free lager for us designated drivers!
Absolutely love to eat in here. But the takeaway is such amazing value for money. You have to collect, but OMG it’s worth it. So much food. We get the meal for 4 for 2 people lol! But we freeze the rest for another dinner and still have leftovers for lunch the next day! Thank you Thai elephant. Only started ordering the takeaway a couple of months ago and been going to Thai Elephant since it opened.
I enjoyed the whole experience a lot and would definitely recommend trying at least once.
We paid £25ish each for food and could order whatever we wanted from the menu. The portions are small enough to try a few different things and the food was nice enough, though not exceptional.
Best choice: Tom Yum Soup
Worst choice: Anything with chicken
All in all, we we had a lot of food, desserts, and 2 drinks for around £40 each. It was a novelty to be able to try new things that I wouldn't normally order and the staff are so lovely, so we'll definitely return.
My favourite restaurant. Been there numerous times over more than 20 years. The main waiter actually recognises me now. Food is fantastic especially the hot and sour soup. A normal local Chinese takeaway just can't match the tasty food. My son really loves the toffee banana dessert.
Exceptional tasteful exquisite dining. Fabulous service with great pleasant staff. Fantastic prices. Out son tried loads of new foods and has a new favourite restaurant. Thank you xx
Lovely place. Most staff really friendly and helpful. Others staff there were young and still in training, but great to be giving young people experience. Very generous all you can eat menu, although next time I'll skip lunch and make the most of it
Really good value. Food was authentic and tasty.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Will definitely be going back
Always a fun meal, lots of variety. Assam Prawns (Not on the menu) are worth the visit!!! A firm family favourite for 20 years, marking Birthdays and Celebrations.
Very good service and great food. Chicken Red Thai curry was different from what I'm used to but otherwise the food was delicious. Recommend the chocolate roll for dessert.
