Came here for a family meal as it was ideal since it's just down the road from the university. Really nice local pub. Was fairly busy but were able to get a table. Always great, proper old school charm. Helpful, welcoming and friendly staff. Good honest food which happily has vegan and veggie options.
We're not football fans so do avoid it on match days, apart from that always an excellent place to stop.

I've been there a few days ago with my colleagues. Staff are charming. Food is very tasty and it serves in a generous portions. Close to the pub there is the Falmer pond, a nice place to go for a walk. I really recommend it.

I gave a 4 stars as it was a Saturday afternoon around lunch time but there wasn't much people in the place itself.
