Coming from the Seattle area, it hit a soft spot for the board game cafes from back home, and I can't wait to enjoy my coffee with a side of SSX Tricky in the future!
What an amazing cafe. Fantastic milkshake, tasty sandwich. And with games to boot. Spent far too long playing them all. Numerous systems to play (even a gamecube!)

Lovely, attentive, friendly staff!! Lots and lots of games to enjoy for FREE. There’s more gaming downstairs with a hidden garden away from the busy streets. A real hidden gem I recommend bringing children to enjoy the great milkshakes and smoothies they have to offer. Happy to see vegan and GF opti
I loved going on a date here, ideal for nerds the downstairs area is very sweet and I ordered a biscoff almond milkshake. However the second time I went they put normal milk instead of almond which I had asked for specifically so I had to throw it away. Gonna give 5 stars anyway as they probably did
The cafe has pleasant friendly staff. In a cozy setting with retro gaming(nintendo and monitor)
You are free to game whilst enjoying ur order with food and drinks. Good music (changed to our preference panic at the disco) Really enjoyed the Stay.
First time I've been able to visit. Being marathon Sunday it was naturally busy out, but the guys at 1 Up were very chill. Sausage, egg and bacon sandwiches were great, knife and fork jobby. Didn't get to play any games but I'll be back to do that another day.

Lovely little ‘shofè’, perfect for cakes and coffees. I Especially love the smoothies and my children love playing on the games consoles. Great too for buying retro games and gaming related products! Good atmosphere and the staff are really helpful and friendly.
Amazing place with great atmosphere! Also loved the kind staff and the delicious food and drinks, I found the different console games really interesting too. When I’m coming to Brighton next, I’ll come again. Keep up the good work 👏🏼
Smoothies are great and is the coffee - also does food and cakes all of which are nice! Has games to play and fun decor as well as being laptop friendly so it's a nice place you can chill for a while as the owner is also really friendly - definitely recommend :)

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good selection of retro and modern games to play. A tad cramped though and food is a bit expensive, but overall a good experience.
I felt a guardian angel must have been watching over me when I found this cafe, I got to play mario kart on the gamecube at my table whilst waiting for food and even bought a boxed gameboy game for just £3! Amazing cafe I would love to return
