Champ's Pub

The local long lasting bar this city needs. A nice crowd of down to earth customers and staff. The type of atmosphere you want from a bar. Not today's modern restaurants that lacks character. Bring your family, friends, or go solo. The place will treat you as one of their own. The place holds true to the best burgers and beer. Also at a good price. Make sure to make this your watering hole.

OMG. Just traveling through and found this great pub and grill with charm. Waitress and bartender were friendly and efficient. Our burgers and fries were awesome. Compliments to the grill master. Thank you all for coming to work and making this meal very enjoyable. Great place, highly recommend it.

Small bar. Good food. Exotic burgers ( little on the small side). Wait staff was busy. ( Short handed) $8 Onion rings??? Didn't realize instead of chips which came with my burger that if I ordered onion on the side it would be almost $9 an order. Two orders of onion rings was 16.97!!! Thats ridiculous. They weren't even homemade onion rings and they were very over done. Almost burnt.

I stopped in on a week day night, good business, but open tables, nonetheless. Luckily I got my drink pretty quick, but was ignored for half an hour thereafter. I tried to catch a member of the waitstaff at least 10 times each (a waiter and waitress both), the bartender 5 times, and gestured towards the manager about 3 times, with menu in hand. The long and the short here is, I was unimportant to this business and they fully ignored me. I would have liked to have reviewed their food, but was denied service. When the waitress finally decided to acknowledge me, she was rude and I hit the door swiftly, saying, "Thanks, but no Thanks". In the future, I will take my business elsewhere in Brighton; A town where I am always treated proper, and far better. The punchline here, is in my experience, Champs Pub represents the low bar of customer service in the city of Brighton.

Hadn’t been to Champs in years, decided to meet a friend there for lunch on recently. We both ordered the fish & chips, which the menu claimed they were famous for. The fish was way over cooked…..almost brown in color, my sweet potato fries were also well done. The server only came back to give us our bill; she never checked on us or asked how our meals were. They were not good, and we will not be coming back. I highly suggest the cook watch when frying; seems like he was distracted. I have never had fish so overcooked and honestly feel like we should have been compensated…it was that bad. Very disappointed Champs!!
