Customs House

I loved the stunning outdoor dining experience here, with the river views, the Story Bridge illuminated at night and gentle summer breezes making it the perfect place for a special night (you can also sit inside). In the grounds of the historic Customs House the seating was comfortable and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. I had the gnocchi which I really enjoyed and my friends said they were very happy with their meals. This is the ideal place to take a visitor to Brisbane to show them our fabulous laid back river life, plus know that the food will be great.

I booked a high tea for my sisters birthday at Patina in Customs House. When we walked in we were not greeted even by a passing staff member. When we went down stairs to Patina we explained that we had a booking. They went to seat us outside when we had booked inside… When we were seated there was nothing prepared… no table covering… no food for a good 40 minutes… I went to the staff member and said umm we have been here for a while for a high tea and waiting for it to start… overall food was okay but I wouldn’t book again at $80 each ( almost $300 for 3 people) for what is meant to be an elegant experience which definitely was not. I can tell that this is an overall experience by guests by how quiet the dining room was as we were the only ones there on a Saturday…. The only thing that saved the experience was the coffee! The one thing they got right. However the silverware was not at the standard I would expect for a high tea as well because it was not even silverware lol

Thank you Patina, for giving my son & his bride such beautiful memories of their wedding day. Their original plans changed at the last minute & the wonderful staff at Patina stepped up & looked after our celebrations in style! Everything was taken care of & full attention was given to ensure David & Yumi’s happiness. Beautiful meals & great ambiance completed our day perfectly!

Kind of old school fine dining experience. Dishes we ordered were well presented and the most of those tastes great. The steak I ordered was supposed to be medium rare but it’s almost rare. At least the jus and char were perfect. Custom house is very classy and unique among high rises. Outdoor area has one of the best view over story bridge.
