Go to creole Kitchen and you won't be disappointed, this place is a hidden treasure in Spring Hill. We really love this place, every time we come here we know that we're going to have a great night, the food is just amazing!!! The prices are in line with the quality of food and the service you get. The owner and the staff are always ready to help you and suggest some delicious dishes/specials, but the whole menu for us is perfect! Can't recommend enough, just go!!

Located in Spring Hill across the road from The Johnson hotel. Handy spot for dinner or takeaway as the hotel doesn’t offer room service. The atmosphere has a nice vibe, food was pretty good. Waffle fries are always a hit. The crocodile cake was tasty, the chicken and biscuits was a little sweet for me. The chicken and sausage gumbo was decent. All up pretty good and worth a visit if you like Creole cooking but not mind blowing

Best food in Brisbane with a casual funky vibe and its open late which is a rare find. Nice open air seating and great music to relax to as you eat absolutely delicious small plates. Really great beer selection and cocktails to pair as well. Many other options to taste. Will be back for sure.

We’ve had the opportunity to eat in New Orleans a few times so we were excited to find this creole restaurant in Brisbane. Service was welcoming and efficient. We had the Gumbo which was delicious and tasted and looked authentic. Also tasted the chicken and biscuits with syrup. The chicken literally melts in your mouth and is a nice taste with the Biscuit and sweet sauce. Will have to return to try the beignets as we had no room for dessert. Only suggestion is that I would love to see cornbread on the menu. Highly recommend.

We love this place. The food is REALLY good, the owner and staff provide efficient, friendly, and warm service. For the past 2 visits, we ordered: gumbo, fried steak, fried chicken with biscuit, cioppino, crackling pork belly, eggplant sticks, waffle fries with garlic butter, duck wings, buffalo wings, and fat domino pasta. We tried the cobbler, key lime pie, and blueberry cornbread. The buffalo wings are just like the ones we get in Colorado, they are the best. The gumbo is really delicious. Everything is awesome. We used to live in Colorado and Massachusetts before coming back to Australia. We miss the Southern and American comfort food and this place delivers. The best part is, they serve the water with the classic ice cubes shape/size just like in the US. Highly recommend

Dining at Creole Soul Kitchen was an amazing experience. There is an almost overwhelming number of amazing dishes to choose from. The staff showed so much patience in giving us ample time to make our final decisions. We started with fried eggplant and prawn & grits. The prawns were so succulent and the entire dish was packed with so much flavour that I would have loved to have it as a main. For our main dishes, we tried the chicken fried chicken, chicken gumbo, seafood gumbo and the jambalaya. This was followed by a range of desserts. All the food here was scrumptious, and everything we tried was unique and had a complete different flavour profile. The service was excellent, and we also loved the conversations and learning about the history of the dishes. We'll definitely return for more.

Probably one of my favourite places in Brisbane to eat. Stumbled upon it on a business trip after flying in late one night, and was blown away by just how good the food is. The owner is amazingly friendly, comes out and has a chat to you, and makes sure you're loving your meal. Will keep on dining here often now that I've moved to Brisbane!

Went in for with some mates on one of their recommendations. The food was incredible and the staff were dead-set legends. Great people! We got stuck into a few beers and some bourbons; and had a couple of po boys (a 'garbage truck' and a weekly special) with waffle fries, and a chicken fried steak. It was everything three growing boys into the beers could want from American food: as far away from healthy as you can get, and in huge portions! A big selling point for me was late night service. Everything in Brisbane shuts so early, so finding places that are open late is always so gratifying. Will definitely be back soon!
